Trey Gowdy thought he had heard it all.
Then he got hit with one bombshell.
And Trey Gowdy’s jaw was on the floor after this shocking attack on his sexuality.
Trey Gowdy feuds with Nancy Mace
South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace is one of the biggest RINOs in Congress.
Mace attacked her fellow Republicans for being “extreme” in their pro-life views and demanded they accept abortion-on-demand.
Mace also supported legislation imposing nationwide homosexual marriage.
And Mace was one of the Republicans that voted to refer Steve Bannon to Joe Biden’s Justice Department for criminal prosecution after Bannon defied a subpoena from Liz Cheney’s January 6th Committee after Donald Trump asserted executive privilege.
Mace nearly lost re-election in 2022 to a Trump-backed challenger.
That led to a political re-invention by Mace who tried to recast herself as ultra-MAGA.
Mace is now looking at running for Governor of South Carolina and she doesn’t want anyone getting to her right in a primary.
But after Mace tanked a government funding bill that Donald Trump supported because it would have taken the debt ceiling fight off the table before his term would begin, Trey Gowdy noted that Mace wouldn’t have a political career if it weren’t for Trump.
“Nancy Mace would not be in the House if it weren’t for Donald Trump, and she can’t vote the way that he asked her to today?” Gowdy posted on X.
Nancy Mace lost a Senate primary in 2014 to Lindsey Graham, winning just six percent of the vote in a five-way primary.
But Mace served as a director of coalitions and field director for Trump’s 2016 Presidential campaign.
That position gave Mace the cache to win a seat in the South Carolina State House in 2017 and eventually Congress in 2020.
Mace then used her latest fight – demanding that transgender Democrat Congresswoman Sarah McBride (D-DE) use the men’s restroom as McBride was born a biological male – to attack Gowdy.
“I have a message for Trey Gowdy: You let Hillary Clinton off the hook for Benghazi. Sit your ass back down,” Mace wrote in response.
“Which bathroom do we think Trey Gowdy uses?” Mace added.
Nancy Mace’s pro-transgender past
Mace is using the bathroom fight to try and build her conservative bona fides ahead of her gubernatorial run.
But this is a fraud.
As recently as 2023, Mace described herself as “pro-transgender rights.”
And in 2021, Mace co-sponsored the so-called “Fairness for All Act” that would have granted transgender special rights and made it illegal to fire them or deny them bathroom privileges in public accommodations.
“I strongly support LGBTQ rights and equality,” Mace said of the bill. “No one should be discriminated against . . . I have friends and family that identify as LGBTQ. Understanding how they feel and how they’ve been treated is important. Having been around gay, lesbian and transgender people has informed my opinion over my lifetime.”
Now that Nancy Mace knows she wants to run statewide in a ruby red state, she wants everyone to think she’s the female Rambo of the culture wars.
