Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to alienate former allies.
The controversial couple are still paying for their actions.
And Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a big problem with these Royal Family members.
Former allies distance themselves from Harry and Meghan
According to a report in the Express, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie no longer have a close relationship with Harry and Meghan as they fear picking sides against Prince William and Princess Kate in the Royal Family feud.
“Beatrice and Eugenie have firmly pledged their allegiance to the Royal Family,” a source close to the Royals told the Express.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie used to talk regularly with Harry and Meghan after they quit the Royal Family and moved to California.
“They haven’t communicated with the Sussexes for quite a while now,” the source continued.
“They are nowhere near as close as they once were,” the source said of Prince Harry and his cousins.
Beatrice and Eugenie were originally sympathetic when the split between the Waleses – Prince William and Princess Kate – and the Sussexes – Harry and Meghan – developed.
“This whole drama between him and Meghan, and the rift with the rest of the family has been really stressful for the girls. It’s hard to watch because they see both sides of it,” a source with knowledge of the situation told People in August 2023.
Eugenie was the only member of the Royal Family to appear in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docu-series.
Eugenie also watched the 2022 Super Bowl with Harry.
But that relationship is no longer close.
Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank reportedly “are very careful about what they say to friends because they don’t want to be seen as bad-mouthing Harry or Meghan.”
A source close to the pair revealed, “There’s still a friendship there but it’s not like the close family bond they had before Harry moved to America.”
An alliance that worries Princess Kate
Their mother Sarah Ferguson – the Duchess of York – is firmly in the camp against Harry and Meghan, saying they earned their alienation from the Royal Family by quitting and then smearing them all as racists.
“You can’t sit on the fence and keep one foot in and one foot out. You’re either in or out,” Ferguson stated.
“Don’t cry about not being invited to weddings. You chose to leave, now go and live it — and be it,”’ Ferguson added.
But author Tom Quinn said Princess Kate reportedly worried about the cousins since, as the daughters of Prince Andrew – who was caught up in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal – their status as “outsiders” could lead to a natural kinship with Harry and Meghan.
“They sense that Beatrice and Eugenie feel that, as virtual outcasts themselves, they have far more in common with Harry and Meghan than with any other part of the family,” Quinn explained. “The situation is made worse by the fact that the senior royals’ main asset — Kate herself — is effectively out of action while she continues her treatment for cancer.”
Beatrice and Eugenie appear to have made their choice.
And after evaluating the situation, they look like they want to stay in the good graces of Prince William and Princess Kate, especially now that Kate is a figure of great sympathy and admiration following her announcement of her cancer diagnosis.
