Peter Doocy revealed Donald Trump’s secret plan to add the 51st state

Donald Trump is less than two months away from taking office.

Trump is already forging a road map for how he intends to govern.

And Peter Doocy revealed Donald Trump’s secret plan to add the 51st state.

Trump threatens Canada with tariffs over a lack of cooperation on the border

The American people re-elected Donald Trump in a landslide knowing Trump made two big promises about how he intended to govern.

Trump promised both a crackdown on the border and to use tariffs as a negotiating tool in foreign affairs.

The 47th President set about showing he meant business in a post on Truth Social where he combined both of those priorities.

Trump slammed Canada and Mexico for failing to pull their weight on border security matters to prevent the flow of deadly fentanyl into the country when more than 100,000 Americans are dying of overdose.

“As everyone is aware, thousands of people are pouring through Mexico and Canada, bringing Crime and Drugs at levels never seen before. Right now a Caravan coming from Mexico, composed of thousands of people, seems to be unstoppable in its quest to come through our currently Open Border,” Trump wrote.

Trump added that on day one in office he would level across the board 25 percent tariffs against both countries unless they did their part in helping America shut off the flow of drugs into the country.

“On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders. This Tariff will remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!” Trump added.

“Both Mexico and Canada have the absolute right and power to easily solve this long simmering problem. We hereby demand that they use this power, and until such time that they do, it is time for them to pay a very big price!” Trump concluded.

Trump jokes about making Canada the 51st state

Left-wing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dealt with Trump for four years.

Trudeau knew Trump meant business.

That’s why Trudeau hopped on his jet and flew as soon as possible to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump.

Trudeau told Trump that 25 percent tariffs would decimate the Canadian economy.

According to Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, Trump joked about annexing Canada if they couldn’t afford to pay up.

“Maybe Canada should just become the 51st state,” Trump said.

The comment was reportedly met with laughs.

But Trump’s tariff threat achieved the desired result as a Canadian official who sat at the table with Trump and Trudeau recounted to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation how Trudeau pledged more extensive cooperation with the United States on border security matters.

“We’re going to look to procure, for example, additional drones, additional police helicopters, we’re going to redeploy personnel . . . we believe that the border is secure,” Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc stated.

“It’s important, I think, to show Canadians and the Americans that we’re stepping up in a visible and muscular way, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do,” LeBlanc added.
