Florida Governor Ron DeSantis obliterates Hunter Biden pardon
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis broke down the corrupt nature of the Hunter Biden pardon in an appearance on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show.
DeSantis hammered Biden for spending the last six months lying to the American people about how he had no intention of pardoning Hunter Biden.
And then Biden didn’t just pardon Hunter Biden for the crimes he pled guilty to and was convicted of.
Biden issued a blanket pardon going back to 2014 in an effort to stymie any efforts in the future by prosecutors to investigate Biden family business dealings in Russia or Communist China.
“He LIED to the American people again […] He pardoned [Hunter] going back to 2014 to the present. Why? Because they want to protect against any inquiries into the Biden family business,” DeSantis stated.
DeSantis argued the criminal charges that Hunter Biden faced were open and shut.
That stood in stark contrast to how Democrat prosecutors Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis, and Jack Smith bent the law to invent fake crimes to indict Donald Trump.
“It’s the opposite with President Trump. They manipulated the law to go after Trump,” DeSantis continued.
DeSantis argued the Democrats tried to litigate the charges against Donald Trump during the election and the American people delivered a resounding verdict by re-electing Donald Trump in a landslide.
“If the electorate actually believed Donald Trump was guilty of serious federal crimes, he would not have been elected in the manner he did,” DeSantis added.
DeSantis said the re-election win took lawfare off the table as well as any talk that Donald Trump would need a pardon.
Biden – on the other hand – could face criminal prosecution if investigators ever dug into the Bidens’ business deals in foreign countries.
Taking criminal charges for Hunter Biden off the table with this pardon eliminated one pressure point that could result in Biden facing accountability.
“[The people rejected] the abuse of the legal process against Donald Trump. Those cases are DEAD. Donald Trump doesn’t NEED a pardon [from Biden],” DeSantis explained.
Finally, the rank hypocrisy of it all annoyed DeSantis more than anything.
Joe Biden entered office holding himself up as the paragon of virtue and democracy.
Media members hailed Biden as one of the great statesmen in history for saying he would respect the judicial process and not pardon his son.
On the other hand, the press ran wild with Joe Biden’s lies about Donald Trump being a threat to democracy.
Biden embarrassed every single one of them with his corrupt pardon of his son.
“This is a guy [Biden] who came into office saying his predecessor was a ‘threat to democracy, a threat to our institutions.’ And what does he do? He CORRUPTLY ABUSES the pardon power,” DeSantis concluded.
