Democrats clearly have no more use for Joe Biden.
Biden is seen as a toxic lame duck President.
And now Bill Clinton called out Joe Biden for making this bad mistake.
Bill Clinton slams Biden for promising not to pardon Hunter Biden
Democrats are still dealing with the fallout from Joe Biden’s corrupt pardon of his son Hunter.
Bill Clinton told the New York Times’ DealBook author Andrew Ross Sorkin that Biden’s broken promise not to pardon Hunter hurt the entire Democrat Party brand.
“I wish he hadn’t said he wasn’t going to do it. It does weaken his case,” Clinton stated.
Sorkin asked Clinton if Biden’s reversal on pardoning Hunter Biden was the final cherry on top for a year of humiliation rituals that Biden forced his party to endure, asking was it “a promise-breaking act that subjects Biden’s allies to yet another humiliation in a year packed with Biden-inflicted injuries?”
Prior to dropping out of the race, Democrats were forced to pretend that Biden wasn’t senile and that in private Joe Biden had the mental acuity to perform calculus and cartwheels.
Clinton agreed, although Clinton claimed the voters were just too dumb to see what a great job Biden and Kamala Harris did in office.
“We had a lot better record than the Republicans, and what good did it do us? No one believes in anybody anymore,” Clinton added.
Inflation was 1.4% when Donald Trump left office.
Gas sat at $2.39 a gallon.
The border was secure.
But then Clinton contradicted himself saying Joe Biden opening the border and Democrats defending this move out of fear of being called white supremacists helped cost them the election.
“Too many Democrats thought it was politically incorrect to stand up for controlled borders. People hate chaos,” Clinton continued.
“The border was a totally legitimate issue, and would have affected the outcome [of the 2024 election],” Clinton remarked.
Clinton also lamented the fact that Biden staying in the race too long left the party with no other option than to ride with Kamala Harris – who every top Democrat in the party knew was a disaster – as the nominee.
“There was no plan by anybody,” Clinton lamented. “Nobody had a plan because nobody knew what was going to happen. When people started calling me about it, I said, look, the President, Biden, won these primaries as a matter of law. They’re his delegates. So he’s the only one that can give it up.”
“By the time it happened, it was only, what, 107 days to the election. There was no time for a primary. We couldn’t have organized a primary that would have had a meaningful impact. It would have been total chaos,” Clinton continued.
The leaks and lamentations about Joe Biden are only going to pile up as his term ends and Trump begins.
