Donald Trump is still encountering pockets of resistance within the GOP.
It was time to rip the band-aid off.
A RINO traitor just revealed the worst kept secret in Washington.
Adam Kinzinger admits he is all but a Democrat.
Adam Kinzinger was one of the biggest RINOs in Congress.
Kinzinger voted for Donald Trump’s impeachment in the January 6 hoax.
Kinzinger also served on the January 6th Committee and cried during public hearings for dramatic effect.
Kinzinger was also a reliable vote for Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), supporting amnesty, gun control, and green new deal bills.
Democrats rewarded Kinzinger by redrawing his district to make it so Democratic that there was no hope of winning a General Election.
That led to Kinzinger retiring from Congress.
But Kinzinger holds no hard feelings towards Democrats.
In fact, Kinzinger is now admitting he is basically a Democrat, saying he is more aligned with the Left’s values than the GOP’s.
“The thing that surprised me most with this, and here’s a funny thing about the last couple of years, I’ve built these new alliances, like I’ve realized I’m probably closer to a Democrat now because of how the Republican Party has changed,” Kinzinger told Forbes while promoting the pompously titled documentary about his career in Congress, The Last Republican.
Kinzinger claimed Joe Biden’s warmongering in Ukraine and the Democrat Party’s willingness to rubber stamp a blank check for the conflict made him feel more at home.
“The Democrats are now the party that’s defending America’s role in the world, defending Ukraine, which I’m really passionate about,” Kinzinger said.
Kinzinger, who has gotten everything wrong every step of the way since the 2020 election also absurdly predicted that the GOP would move on from Donald Trump and that voters would soon feel shame for having ever supported him.
“I think the Republican Party is toast for a while. Everything is a pendulum, and I honestly believe that Trumpism doesn’t survive past these four years. While I’m pissed Trump won, had he lost, I couldn’t have put an expiration date on Trumpism,” Kinzinger added.
“It could have been right then and could have been 10 years from now. The only good thing about Trump winning is that in four years, people are going to want nothing to do with him or his movement anymore,” Kinzinger concluded.
Donald Trump won the popular vote.
Polls like one from CNN show 55 percent of Americans approve of the Trump transition effort.
And in states like North Carolina, Nevada, and Pennsylvania the GOP continues to enjoy a voter registration edge.
The evidence points in the opposite direction of Kinzinger’s delusional prediction about Trump fading into obscurity.
Donald Trump has never been more popular or powerful than he is today.
And no amount of wish casting by Kinzinger will change that.
But what is true is that Never Trumpers like Kinzinger are closer to Democrats than they are conservatives.
Kinzinger finally at least had the temerity to come out and admit it.
