Bill Maher supported Joe Biden.
But Bill Maher had to be the bearer of bad news.
And Bill Maher warned that Joe Biden was facing the worst judgment anyone could imagine.
Bill Maher is one of the last few remaining liberals.
While everyone else on the Left fell in line behind woke ideology and open borders, Maher spoke out warning that this insanity wasn’t just liberal, but also really bad politics.
Maher took the same stance with Joe Biden running for re-election.
Everyone else in the media and Democrat Party engaged in a conspiracy of silence to conceal the level of Biden’s mental decrepitude from the American people.
Maher discussed his willingness to speak out in an interview with CNN host Jake Tapper.
Tapper told Maher he was writing a book about the 2024 election and in his research came across a joke Maher told about Biden being too old and that running for re-election was a bad idea.
Maher quipped that “If you got on an airplane and you heard that Buzz Aldrin was the pilot, you’d get off. I’m sorry for botching.”
In his response, Maher explained that he felt he had standing to make the argument that Biden shouldn’t run due to old age because he was one of the few people arguing that discrimination against the elderly was a real thing.
“Yeah. And I felt I had standing to make that case because I had for so many years been the only person I know on television who was consistently railing against ageism. I have been saying for years ageism is the last allowable prejudice that we can have in this country,” Maher began.
But Maher said just because ageism is a real thing, doesn’t mean it’s always unwarranted.
“You can always do the age jokes. You can always rail on people for being too old. And it was, as I said, a case-by-case basis,” Maher added.
Maher said Biden was clearly too old to run for a second term and he felt compelled to speak out.
“Some people at 70 act like they’re 100 years old and some people are like 40 year olds. But this was a case, OK, where Biden was too old. Having made that case that it’s a case-by-case basis, I was now saying, yes, some of those cases are that the person is just too old for the job,” Maher continued.
Maher said history would judge Biden harshly for selfishly seeking another term and setting the stage for Donald Trump’s return the same way it would harshly judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg who stayed on the Supreme Court until she passed away rather than retire when Democrats had the power to confirm her successor which enabled Donald Trump to appoint Amy Coney Barrett and ultimately overturn Roe v. Wade.
“And he was going to be much like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, someone who was seen in history as one who stayed out, stayed at the fair too long and cost his party dearly. And he did. And, you know, I don’t think history is going to treat Joe Biden kindly for doing that,” Maher concluded.
