Ceuta Becomes Ground Zero for Europe's Open Border Nightmare
Thousands of migrants stormed the Spanish enclave of Ceuta from Morocco.
Some swam across the strait.
Others climbed over breakwaters and fences while Spanish police stood overwhelmed.
By Friday, the death toll had climbed to 57.
Spain's Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez pushed through an amnesty program for half a million illegal migrants back in January.
Ceuta's own regional president begged Sánchez to declare a national emergency and send in the military.
Sánchez refused.
Italy's Giorgia Meloni had seen enough.
She suspended Schengen travel with Spain outright, sealing off her own borders rather than trust Madrid to control its own.
French President Emmanuel Macron ordered extra police and drones to his border with Spain within hours.
Even Spain's neighbors don't trust Sánchez to stop this.
This isn't Ceuta's first collapse.
More than 8,000 migrants poured into the same enclave in a single wave back in May 2021, and Madrid learned nothing from it.
Five years later, the number was six times worse and the bodies were real.
The White House didn't mince words either.
Press secretary Anna Kelly said Trump has long warned Europe this was exactly what far-left, globalist migration policies would produce.
Trump Uses Real Numbers to Draw the Line Democrats Won't
Trump didn't just watch the Ceuta footage.
He used it.
Speaking to Fox News, Trump pointed to the images and delivered a blunt message about the midterms.
"That's going to be us in three years if the wrong side gets in," Trump said.
He backed it up with numbers Democrats hope voters forget.
Under Biden, that 8.7 million migrant tally piled up next to a number Trump can now point to as proof: 188,000 encounters in his first two years back in office.
No spin needed – the contrast speaks for itself.
It's been fourteen months running without a single illegal crosser released into America's interior under this administration.
Biden's border produced the Rio Grande caravans and the Haitians camped under the Del Rio bridge in 2021 – images every conservative already has burned into memory.
At the worst of Biden's border collapse, the Del Rio sector alone was absorbing more than 4,000 illegal crossings every single day.
Just days into Trump's second term, agents working that same sector logged 60 crossings in a single day.
Trump didn't get there by accident.
He shut down the asylum loopholes Biden built, ended catch-and-release entirely, and told agents to actually enforce the law.
Spain never did any of that, and now the world is watching what happens when a government refuses.
Ceuta Is the Preview of What Democrats Promise America
This is not a hypothetical.
This is what happens when politicians decide borders are optional and enforcement is cruelty.
Sánchez told Spaniards for years that open borders were compassion.
Now 50,000 people crossed his border in a single day and dozens are dead.
Every Democrat who calls ICE fascist and border walls racist is selling the same lie Sánchez sold.
Chuck Schumer and the rest of the open-borders left have fought Trump's wall funding and his deportation flights for years.
If they retake power in November, the caravans start moving north again, and the manpower to stop them disappears.
Ceuta didn't fall over a decade.
It fell in 48 hours once Madrid decided enforcement wasn't worth the political cost.
Sánchez bragged in a February op-ed that his approach was the opposite of what he called "MAGA-style leaders."
Five months later, he's burying 57 bodies and hiding from his own regional government's pleas for help.
American Democrats want the same policies here, just with better branding.
They call it compassion.
Spain's dead call it something else.
Trump isn't guessing about what happens next if Schumer, Pelosi, and the rest of the open-borders left get their hands back on the wheel.
He's pointing at Ceuta and telling you to look.
The choice in November is the same one Spain just lost.
