Donald Trump hit the ground running as soon as he declared victory in the 2024 election.
Even his closest allies couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
And Laura Ingraham had only one thing to say after Donald Trump’s stunning announcement.
Donald Trump’s plan to acquire Greenland
Donald Trump has made it clear to everyone in Washington that he intends to put America first in foreign policy.
Trump intends to do that by keeping America out of new wars.
And one way Trump intends to pursue that policy is through territorial acquisition that prevents Communist China and Russia from gaining a foothold in the Western Hemisphere.
To that end, Trump made acquiring Greenland and retaking control of the Panama Canal two foreign policy priorities.
Both the Panama Canal and Greenland represent key shipping lanes that allow whoever controls that territory to create a stranglehold on commerce.
Communist China is already horning in on the Panama Canal.
Trump fears the Chinese or the Russians could do the same with regards to Greenland.
In a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump expanded on why the United States needs to acquire both the Panama Canal and Greenland.
Laura Ingraham covered the press conference on her Fox News show.
Ingraham only had one question.
“And if Trump can make a deal for strategically important Greenland, why wouldn’t that be a good thing?” Ingraham asked.
Ingraham then played a clip of Trump explaining why acquiring Greenland wasn’t just vital for American prosperity, it was critical for American national security.
“We need Greenland for national security purposes. I’ve been told that for a long time, long before I even ran. I mean, people have been talking about it for a long time. I’m talking about protecting the free world. You look at — you don’t even need binoculars. You look outside, you have China ships all over the place. You have Russian ships all over the place. We’re not letting that happen,” Trump stated.
Ingraham told her viewers that the media never covered the “why” of Trump acquiring Greenland so they could paint him as a crazy person.
But Ingraham explained that Greenland sat on massive deposits of rare earth minerals that were vital to use military technology and weapons production.
If the United States did not acquire Greenland, not only could Communist China or Russia control shipping lanes in the United States’ backyard, but they could also get a leg up in the arms technology race.
“Again, this is something that the media’s hair on fire, but Trump’s right. Back in August, a piece in the Harvard International Review explained how China has tried to take hold of Greenland’s iron and uranium mining industries, and even has Russia involved in the project to establish what they’re calling a polar Silk Road. That would create Arctic dominance,” Ingraham added.
“So why is this never mentioned in the media’s coverage of Greenland and Trump’s desire to perhaps make a deal for it? Well, I’ll say it’s for the same reason they never addressed the fact that NATO is still taking advantage of U.S. taxpayers,” Ingraham concluded.
