Kamala Harris got one chilling warning that stopped her cold in her tracks

Aug 6, 2024

Kamala Harris and her media partners think she’s riding a wave of momentum to the White House.

But Harris received some unexpected bad news.

And Kamala Harris got one chilling warning that stopped her cold in her tracks.

A narrow popular vote win won’t be enough for Harris

Kamala Harris surged in the polls after replacing Joe Biden due to consolidating the Democratic Party base.

Liberals down in the dumps over Joe Biden’s senility who planned to vote for a third party candidate came home to Harris after Party bosses crowned her as the nominee.

Democrats think if they can hide Harris from unscripted moments, the media propaganda machine can lift her to victory over Donald Trump.

But there are still some warning signs

MSNBC host Michael Steele asked famed Democrat strategist James Carville about what landmines still sat in the way of Harris’ win.

Carville went right to the Electoral College, claiming Harris needed to win the popular vote by at least two points.

“Thank you, Sir, because you said exactly what I was trying to say, and you said it better than me. And people would be wise to listen to Dave Wasserman, who you just had on, who is a very wise man, who said if we need to win this thing, we have to win by two,” Carville added.

Carville said Democrats needed to put on a good convention to build momentum for the fall campaign because Harris isn’t “close” to beating Trump.

“Some people say maybe we even need to win by three, and we are not close to being there yet. We need to keep our heads down. We need to have a good convention in Chicago. We need to go out campaigning and we need to launch attacks. We’ve got to go here.”

Carville added that while he was encouraged by the early signs, he knew the uphill battle facing Harris.

“We’ve got to hit them hard. I think that the early signs are encouraging. I’m not going to be. I don’t want to be a downer here, but we have to be realistic. And you and I are a little older. We know a lot about what politics is, and we know someone about what motivates different people in this country,” Carville concluded.

Lessons from the 2016 and 2020 elections

Carville even undershot how much Harris would have to win the popular vote by in order to win the Electoral College.

Thanks to a more efficient distribution of Trump’s working class and Democrats running up the score in major population centers like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, which are electorally meaningless, Trump could lose the popular vote and still win the Presidency.

In 2016, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by two points yet Trump still won over 300 Electoral College votes.

Joe Biden won the popular vote by four points in 2020 yet barely squeaked by in the Electoral College with a 44,000-vote margin across three states.

Right now, Real Clear Politics shows Trump leading Harris by 1.2 points.

Harris would need to shift the polls five points in her favor to have a chance at winning the Electoral College.

And that’s why Carville said Harris is nowhere close to beating Trump.
