Ohio sheriff sounds the alarm about border czar Kamala Harris
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones delivered a blockbuster speech on the dangers facing small towns in Ohio thanks to Kamala Harris opening the border.
Jones slammed Kamala Harris for importing 20,000 Haitian migrants into the town of Springfield, which only has a population of 58,000 residents, using the Temporary Protected Status amnesty program.
“I’m here today to talk about the invasion of our country. And mostly, I want to talk about Springfield, Ohio. In just four years, between 15,000 and 20,000 illegals have poured into this small city of 50,000 residents. That’s almost half the population — and it’s unsustainable,” Jones stated.
The media seized on reports of migrants eating pets to paint conservatives opposed to the open borders agenda of Kamala Harris as racist conspiracy theorists.
But the press only focused on the sensation to draw attention away from what Jones described as the real-life harms of mass illegal immigration.
Jones explained that importing 20,000 Haitian migrants into Springfield led to a surge in crime and disease while straining the city’s budget.
“Our citizens are angry as hell,” Jones added. “Where are they going to live? Who’s going to pay for their healthcare, education, and welfare? And most importantly, how can we ensure the safety of our residents when the police have no idea who these people are?”
Jones warned that America was reaching a breaking point, and it was time to say enough is enough.
“There comes a time when we have to say, look, you can’t just come here,” Jones continued.
Open borders leads to a drug epidemic
Jones explained that by opening the border Kamala Harris created a national crisis.
It’s not just border states feeling the crunch.
“I’ve been to the border three times,” Jones exclaimed, “and I’m telling you, every state is a border state right now.”
Illegal immigration and the resulting crime gets the headlines.
But 100,000 Americans die every year from fentanyl overdoses.
These deadly drugs pour into the United States through the wide-open southern border.
“And where’s that fentanyl coming from? China, through Mexico. China is doing this on purpose — addicting and killing our people, causing chaos and disorder in our communities,” Jones remarked.
These drugs originate in Communist China – a nation that is America’s number one foreign adversary.
“China is sending this poison into our country to weaken us from within. And our open border is the conduit through which this destruction flows,” Jones said.
Finally, Jones reminded Americans that open borders were a national security threat.
Several of the 9/11 hijackers overstayed their visas and the lack of immigration enforcement led to catastrophe.
“Don’t forget what a small group of terrorists can do,” Jones cautioned.
Jones predicted Kamala Harris was setting America up for a disaster unless the country quickly changed course.
“We are allowing close to 2 million people to cross our border illegally every year, and we have no idea who they are. We cannot afford to be complacent,” Jones concluded.
