Joe Biden just went back in front of a national audience and bragged about killing your energy supply.
Now he wants credit for it.
What he said on camera to Jay Leno – and how proud he sounded saying it – is something every American who paid $5 a gallon needs to see.
Biden Admits What He Did on Camera
The video came from an episode of Jay Leno's Garage taped in April, and Biden spelled it out himself.
"The other thing I was able to do," he told Leno, "I made sure there could be no oil drilling off the East Coast, the West Coast and 150 miles off the Gulf of Mexico."
That's not a slip of the tongue.
That's a confession.
The setting made it worse.
Two multimillionaires riding around in a vintage Corvette, laughing about dismantling the industry that powers the cars they were sitting in.
The irony didn't register.
It never does with these people.
The Full Record They Don't Want You to Remember
That Jay Leno brag didn't come out of nowhere.
It was the capstone on four years of deliberate destruction.
Day one of his presidency – January 20, 2021 – Biden canceled the Keystone XL pipeline permit with the stroke of a pen.
The project labor agreement TC Energy had signed with four labor unions promised 42,000 American jobs and $2 billion in wages.
Biden's own Department of Energy, forced by Congress to release a report it sat on for months, eventually admitted the cancellation wiped out up to 59,000 jobs and between $3.4 billion and $9.6 billion in economic impact.
He blocked 10 million acres of Alaskan drilling in 2023.
Then, in January 2025 – fourteen days before leaving office – Biden dropped the biggest bomb of all.
He permanently banned offshore drilling across 625 million acres of U.S. ocean.
East Coast. West Coast. Eastern Gulf of Mexico. Northern Bering Sea in Alaska.
All of it, locked away using a 1953 law that makes reversal by executive order nearly impossible.
The largest withdrawal of offshore areas from oil development in American history.
Karoline Leavitt called it exactly what it was: "a disgraceful decision designed to exact political revenge on the American people who gave President Trump a mandate to increase drilling and lower gas prices."
Trump is now fighting in court to undo it.

Biden just told Jay Leno he's proud of it.
What This Clip Actually Proves
The political class has spent two years trying to make you forget what the Biden years felt like at the pump.
Don't let them.
Biden didn't stumble into high gas prices – he built the conditions for them, step by step, from day one.
Every action pointed the same direction: kill domestic production, lock up future reserves behind legal barriers that would outlast his own presidency, and dare the next administration to spend years fighting courts to undo the damage.
This clip matters not because it reveals something new.
It matters because Biden is on camera, comfortable, and proud.
No teleprompter. No handlers.
Just a former president explaining to America that the pain at the pump wasn't an accident – it was the agenda.
