The media smear campaign against J.D. Vance is reaching absurd levels.
But some things should be off limits.
And a CNN host crossed the line with this disgusting attack on J.D. Vance.
Accusations of stolen valor against Tim Walz pile up
Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz is facing the ugliest allegations possible – that he lied about his military service and fraudulently represented himself as having deployed to Iraq.
On multiple occasions before Walz ran for Congress in 2006, Walz represented himself as having deployed to Iraq.
Trump running mate J.D. Vance enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school and deployed to Iraq, where he served with honor.
Vance took great offense to Walz fabricating a combat record and slammed Walz for stolen valor.
“What was this weapon that you carried into war, given that you abandoned your unit right before they went to Iraq, and he has not spent a day in a combat zone? What bothers me about Tim Walz is the stolen valor garbage,” Vance said.
CNN’s Brianna Keilar attacks Vance’s service
Left-wing CNN host Brianna Keilar tried to run cover for Walz.
But Keilar’s preferred tactic was smearing Vance as a coward for listing his title as Combat Correspondent when he was a public affairs officer who never saw combat and hid in an office.
This is ridiculous. From what I’ve seen @JDVance has been remarkably disciplined in framing his USMC service & Iraq deployment (esp vs Walz). Combat Correspondent was JD’s actual MOS + he served in a combat zone. Only thing deceptive here is CNN’s framing. pic.twitter.com/70ajHILbVp

Vance wrote in his book “Hillbilly Elegy” that he never saw combat but that he was deployed to a combat zone.
In a post on X, Vance blasted Keilar for questioning his service when he deployed to Iraq when the United States government asked, whereas Walz quit the Minnesota National Guard weeks before his unit deployed to Iraq.
“Brianna this is disgusting, and you and your entire network should be ashamed of yourselves. When I got the call to go to Iraq, I went. Tim Walz said he carried a gun in a war. Did he? No. It was a lie,” Vance wrote.
Never Trump RINO and former Congressman Peter Meijer is also a veteran.
Keilar’s smear was too much for Meijer, who responded to Keilar by noting that Vance always accurately described his service and that he served in combat zones, whereas Walz lied about both his deployment to Iraq and the fact that he retired as a Commander Master Sergeant, a rank he lost when he quit the National Guard.
“This is ridiculous. From what I’ve seen @JDVancehas been remarkably disciplined in framing his USMC service & Iraq deployment (esp vs Walz). Combat Correspondent was JD’s actual MOS + he served in a combat zone. Only thing deceptive here is CNN’s framing,” Meijer posted on X.
Vance included one more response to Keilar.
Vance reposted a thread on X listing Public Affairs Officers killed in the line of duty because combat correspondent is a danger assignment that puts those Marines in the line of fire.
It’s easy to sit in the comfort and safety of a @CNN studio and trivialize the service of countless men and women who risked their lives. I served with some of the people mentioned in this thread. I miss them all very much. Shameful of @brikeilarcnn to slander an entire MOS. https://t.co/5hwgd8EEG0
