Zohran Mamdani already proved a socialist could hijack a major American city.
Now that same script just landed in the middle of a critical Senate race.
Democrats are about to find out exactly what that costs them, starting in Michigan.
Fetterman Names the Communist His Party Keeps Elevating
John Fetterman stood in Washington on Tuesday and did something no other sitting Democrat senator has bothered to do all year.
He named the streamer.
Piker has built a following of millions on Twitch.
He has used that platform to praise a mass-murdering dictator like Mao Zedong and to defend the communist government running Cuba into the ground.
Fetterman told Fox News Digital that no Democrat should elevate a man who "should be foreign to any Democrat."
He wasn't finished.
Fetterman called the direction of his own party troubling and pointed straight at Tuesday's primaries as proof.
That is not a Republican talking point.
That is a sitting Democrat senator from Pennsylvania sounding the alarm on his own party, on the record, with his own name attached to it.
Fetterman also warned that Democrats have let Israel become a purity test, one that even pro-Israel members now feel pressure to fail.
El Sayed's Michigan Win Proves the Warning Came Too Late
While Fetterman was warning reporters in Washington, Piker was already standing in a room in Michigan celebrating.
Abdul El Sayed just won the Democratic Senate primary in Michigan.
Piker campaigned with El Sayed on the eve of that primary.
Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez backed El Sayed too.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer even stepped in to back Stevens, hoping to slow El Sayed down before it was too late.
It did not work.
El Sayed shrugged off nearly $65 million in outside spending aimed at burying his campaign and won anyway.
This is the exact same pattern that put Zohran Mamdani in the mayor's office in New York City.
A communist-friendly streamer shows up, campaigns with the furthest-left name on the ballot, and that candidate wins.
Fetterman told his party not to pander to the fringe.
The fringe just won a Senate primary in one of the races most likely to decide who controls the Senate this fall.
Illinois Rep Brad Schneider tried to sound a similar alarm back in March, warning that Piker is an "unapologetic antisemite" who should not be sharing a stage with sitting members of Congress.
Almost nobody in his party listened to him either.
Piker Is Not a Random Streamer Democrats Can Ignore
Piker is not some anonymous account with a few thousand followers and an opinion.
Federal investigators at the Treasury Department subpoenaed him this year over his trip to Havana, digging into whether he broke rules on doing business with Cuba's government.
He has been accused by his own party's Rep Ritchie Torres of amplifying antisemitic rhetoric since October 7.
He once said America "deserved 9/11" before walking it back.
None of that stopped Democratic primary candidates in Michigan and New York from wanting him standing next to them on camera.
Trump has already labeled this movement what it is, calling the rising socialist bloc inside the Democratic Party "hardcore, godless communists."
Fetterman, a Democrat, is now making nearly the identical argument in nearly identical language.
You have been saying this about the Democratic Party for years, and now their own senator is saying it too.
Piker did not build this network alone.
He traveled to Havana alongside Medea Benjamin, the CodePink co-founder who has spent decades cheerleading for the communist governments running Cuba, Iran, and China.
Those same networks are the ones now bankrolling primary challenges against establishment Democrats from New York to Michigan.
Two of the three congressional candidates Mamdani endorsed in New York were backed directly by the Democratic Socialists of America, and both won.
That is not a coincidence Fetterman is worried about.
That is a coordinated bench.
Piker's Politics Are One Election Away From the Senate Floor
Democrats can spin this however they like, but the pattern is impossible to hide now.
Every Democrat who could have said what Fetterman said this week chose to stay quiet instead.
That silence is the real story here, not Fetterman's comments.
Fetterman is the one Democrat left who still has to explain his party's direction to actual voters back home in Pennsylvania.
He knows exactly what they would say if he stayed quiet too.
If El Sayed wins in November, Piker's brand of politics does not stay contained to Twitch anymore.
It walks straight onto the floor of the United States Senate.
Fetterman just told his own party the takeover already happened.
Nobody with any power in the Democratic Party wanted to hear it.
