DSA-backed socialists have been winning primary after primary all summer long.
On Sunday their national co-chair sat down with Fox News to explain what that winning actually means.
Shannon Bream started asking yes-or-no questions, and the answers left Republicans stunned.
Romer Says Yes to Erasing the Senate, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court
Megan Romer is the national co-chair of the Democratic Socialists of America.
Bream ran through a list straight from the DSA's own platform.
Abolish the Senate?
Romer called it true, flat out.
Replace the presidency and the Supreme Court with bodies controlled by Congress?
She said yes to that too.
Abolish ICE?
"Absolutely!" Romer said, without a beat of hesitation.
Open the borders and grant amnesty to every illegal alien in the country?
Romer called it a long-term plan and said yes.
Defund the Pentagon?
Romer laughed, as if the question answered itself, and said yes again.
Abolish prisons, at least in large part?
Yes, she said, as part of the long-term program.
Government ownership of most large corporations?
She confirmed that too.
Seven questions, seven confirmations, and not one moment of hesitation from a woman running a national political organization.
Romer Compares America's Founders to the British House of Lords
Romer didn't just confirm the agenda.
She defended it on camera.
She called the Senate "an anachronistic institution" designed to keep ordinary Americans from having too much say.
She compared it to the British House of Lords, the aristocratic chamber America's founders explicitly rejected when they wrote the Constitution.
James Madison built the Senate to protect the minority from the mob, not to serve a monarchy.
Romer wants it gone, along with the presidency and the Supreme Court as we know them.
None of this is new for the DSA.
The organization has pushed to abolish ICE since 2018, and its call to scrap the Senate traces back to a 2014 DSA blog post.
What is new is the platform, "Workers Deserve More," rolled out in July 2026 as DSA membership topped 120,000 for the first time.
What is new is that DSA-backed candidates are actually winning.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani proved it could be done, and Colorado's Melat Kiros and New York's Darializa Avila-Chevalier have since knocked off establishment Democrats in 2026 primaries.
This is no longer a fringe blog post.
It is a governing platform with real winners attached to it.
Speaker Johnson Says the Barbarians Are Already Inside the Gate
House Speaker Mike Johnson wasted no time responding.
"The barbarians are inside the gate," Johnson said, and Democrats are welcoming them in.
Johnson framed the choice for voters bluntly: common sense versus what he called outright communism.
Other Republicans piled on, calling the platform a plan to shred the Constitution and dismantle the country as founded.
Democrats, meanwhile, are trying to have it both ways.
House Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar dismissed the whole controversy as laughable, while carefully avoiding any claim that the DSA doesn't represent his party's own base.
Former DNC chairman Jaime Harrison told DSA members who hate the Democratic Party to go build their own instead of running for his.
Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar broke ranks entirely, warning that socialists are trying to use the Democratic Party as a vehicle.
That split tells you everything.
Democrats can't agree on whether Romer speaks for their party, and voters are watching them dodge the question in real time.
Voters watching Sunday's interview didn't get a media distortion or a gotcha question.
They got a national party co-chair confirming, on camera, that she wants the Senate, the presidency, the courts, and the border gone.
Republicans running in 2026 now have eight seconds of tape that says more than any campaign ad could.
Cut a thirty-second spot with Romer's own words and the "communism" label writes itself, no editing required.
The only question left is whether Democratic candidates on the ballot this fall will say the same words Romer did, or finally admit they won't.
