Tim Walz was mad as hell when CNN demanded that he make this humiliating apology

Tim Walz has become a headache for Democrats because he’s incapable of telling the truth.

Even his allies in the media have seen enough.

And Tim Walz was mad as hell when CNN demanded that he make this humiliating apology.

Tim Walz’s lies about his military career are catching up with him

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s service in the Army National Guard was supposed to be a strength of his biography.

Instead, it turned into a constant scandal after he was selected as Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate.

Walz was caught lying about serving in war when he was trying to push gun control at an event in 2018.

“We can make sure that those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only place where those weapons are at,” Walz said at the time.

But he never served in a combat zone during his time in the National Guard.

The Harris-Walz campaign was forced to issue a statement that claimed that he “misspoke.”

He was also caught over a dozen times referring to himself as a retired Command Sergeant Major – one of the highest enlisted ranks – when he was a Master Sergeant.

The campaign quietly changed his biography on its website.

U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) has been hammering Walz for committing stolen valor by lying about and exaggerating his military service.

CNN panel demands Tim Walz apologize

Walz has been caught red-handed lying about his military service.

The media has given up trying to spin the situation and pivoted to demanding that he apologize so that it can be swept under the rug.

A panel on CNN News Central told Walz it was time to apologize for his deception about his military service.

“I want to hear Tim Walz stand up and explain to me why he said for 20 plus years that he was a retired Command Sergeant Major when he wasn’t … He owes an apology to, I think, the people in the military,” CNN political commentator David Urban said. “Just say, ‘look, I made a mistake. I shouldn’t have said that. I’m owning up to it.’”

CNN political commentator Van Jones – who served as former President Barack Obama’s “Green Jobs Czar” – told Walz to apologize so he could put it behind him.

“He has to clean that up. He does. And I think it’s actually on brand for him to say, ‘you know what, I got a little bit full of myself and said some stuff that wasn’t true,’” Jones said.

Jones thought that an apology from Walz would make the problem go away.

“We’re in a business where people think if you’re just honest, we all sometimes posh up a story here and there,” Jones explained. “But now you’re on a main stage and get caught on it. Just cough up the fur ball so we can move on from this issue.”

But stolen valor isn’t a scandal that is going away with an apology.

Tim Walz lying about his military service isn’t a minor transgression, especially to veterans, that everyone will forget after the campaign puts out a statement.

He’s going to be dogged by this scandal for the rest of the election.
