This pro-Trump actor revealed the sick way Hollywood bans conservatives

Everyone knew Hollywood leaned Left.

But it isn’t enough that the entertainment industry supports Democrats.

And this pro-Trump actor revealed the sick way Hollywood bans conservatives.

Dennis Quaid faced cancellation for being conservative

Actor Dennis Quaid starred in hit movies like Innerspace and The Right Stuff.

Quaid’s career spanned decades.

On August 30, Quaid is set to star as Ronald Reagan in the biopic Reagan.

Quaid’s also one of the few openly conservative actors in Hollywood.

In an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan, Quaid revealed he faced cancellation attempts because he sought to bring a sympathetic portrayal of the nation’s 40th President to the big screen.

That conversation came about because Rogan talked about his experience working on shows like NBC’s News Radio where he said conservatives in Hollywood have to self-censor for fear of getting blackballed from the industry.

“One ideology dominates, especially in Hollywood, the entire business. One of the things I say that drove me crazy about Hollywood was there are people who had differing opinions about things, but they would never speak out because it could damage their career, and it really can. They will f****** blackball you,” Rogan stated.

Quaid agreed.

“They will. There were a couple attempts to cancel me while we were making Reagan. Kind of half-hearted, I guess. But it has become that, and it ain’t right,” Quaid responded.

Quaid endorses Trump

Quaid took a risk by endorsing Donald Trump.

In an interview with Piers Morgan, Quaid said he was supporting Trump because he was appalled by Joe Biden and the Democrats weaponizing the justice system against Trump.

“It just makes sense. I was ready not to vote for Trump until what I saw is, more than politics, I see a weaponization of our justice system and a challenge to our Constitution,” Quaid stated.

Quaid argued, “You know, Trump is the most investigated person probably in the history of the world and they haven’t been able to really get him on anything,” Quaid added.

Quaid pays the price for his politics

Quaid told Rogan that he faced consequences for his conservative politics.

Facebook censored ads for his Reagan film, which the platform later claimed was a “mistake.”

“They said it was a mistake. They said it was their automatic systems that had detected it,” Quaid told Rogan.

Rogan wasn’t buying it as Facebook likely only lifted the censorship because they got caught and publicly called out.

“Ohhhh, how convenient,” Rogan mockingly responded.

“I don’t know what those automatic systems are, but there was a mistake in that,” Quaid sarcastically replied.

Dennis Quaid is at the point in his career where he doesn’t need to work regularly and can pick and choose his projects.

But a younger actor who is just getting started in the industry could never come out and support Trump while hoping to maintain a steady career.

In no other industry would this be acceptable.
