Ron DeSantis dared Joe Biden to do one thing that will upend the 2024 election

The battle lines are being drawn for the general election.

Democrats find themselves on unsure footing.

And Ron DeSantis dared Joe Biden to do one thing that will upend the 2024 election.

Ron DeSantis mocks claims made by the Biden campaign that Florida is in play

Donald Trump carried Florida by nearly four points in 2020.

By Presidential Election standards in the Sunshine State, that constituted a landslide.

In 2022, DeSantis won an historic 19.5-point re-election route.

DeSantis turned Florida crimson red when he rejected Dr. Fauci’s guidance to free his state from tyranny and open schools in the fall of 2020.

DeSantis found the idea put forth by the Biden campaign that Florida was in play this year downright laughable.

“Light up the airwaves,” DeSantis joked during a press conference, imploring the Biden campaign to spend the tens of millions of dollars necessary to even briefly advertise on TV in Florida.

“Do it – light it on fire. We are fine with you doing that here, but I can confidently predict that you’ll see Republican victories, not just at the top of the ticket but up and down the ballot, and I think that’s a good thing,” DeSantis added.

DeSantis wasn’t the only Florida Republican scoffing at the claim that the state was in play.

State GOP Party Chairman Evan Power pointed to Republicans growing voter registration advantage as evidence that Florida was out of reach for Democrats.

“It seems the only thing consistent in the world these days is Democrats claiming they will somehow have a shot at winning Florida,” Power stated.

“Floridians have rejected the radical left policies of Joe Biden. It’s why Republicans have gone from down 100,000 net voters to nearly a 900,000 advantage in just four years,” Power concluded.

Democrats falsely believe abortion-on-demand will help them carry Florida

DeSantis was responding to a memo from Biden campaign manager Julie Chávez Rodriguez, which claimed Florida was “winnable” this November for Democrats.

“Make no mistake: Florida is not an easy state to win, but it is a winnable one for President Biden, especially given Trump’s weak, cash-strapped campaign, and serious vulnerabilities within his coalition,” Rodriguez wrote.

The Biden campaign’s entire basis for thinking Florida is in play rests on a ballot initiative to codify abortion-on-demand into the Florida Constitution.

DeSantis signed a bill to protect life once a fetal heartbeat is detected.

Democrats think his abortion ballot initiative will drive Democrat turnout to the levels Biden needs to win.

“This new, extreme abortion ban — one that Donald Trump personally paved the way for — will now amount to a ban for the entire Southeast,” Rodriguez’s memo read.

The memo also falsely claimed abortion was healthcare.

“Women in need of reproductive care throughout the region now face a choice between putting their lives at risk or traveling hundreds or thousands of miles to get care,” the memo continued.

Democrats can’t win on abortion-on-demand, so they lie about the issue.

By framing it as healthcare, liberals mislead voters into thinking conservatives want to deny women medical care.

But medical care is supposed to save a life.

Abortion takes a life.
