LA Police Union Exposed Nithya Raman’s Socialist Backers With One Brutal Quote

Karen Bass was thousands of miles away in Africa when the Palisades fire ripped through her city.

Los Angeles voters have been punishing her for it ever since, and a democratic socialist is closing in fast.

The union representing thousands of Los Angeles police officers just branded Raman's coalition with a phrase Bass cannot spin away.

Berkeley Poll Shows Raman Surging Past Bass by Eleven Points

A UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll of 2,150 likely voters put Nithya Raman at 39 percent support and Karen Bass at 28 percent.

A full third of the city remains undecided with six weeks left before Angelenos vote.

Bass dismissed the numbers as an "outlier."

Her favorability rating says otherwise, sitting at just 28 percent positive against 63 percent negative.

Betting markets are not buying the outlier line either.

Kalshi shifted its odds to 58 percent for Raman and 42 percent for Bass the moment the poll hit.

Reality TV star Spencer Pratt, who finished third in the June primary, predicted this exact collapse months before it happened.

"I told everyone that if you don't vote for me, Raman will beat Bass," Pratt said.

He added that Raman "entered the race 10 minutes before the clerk's office closed."

Sixty three percent of Pratt's own primary voters are still undecided, leaving a massive bloc of persuadable Angelenos up for grabs.

DSA Manifesto Behind Raman Calls for Seizing Homes and Defunding LAPD

Raman built her political career on the Democratic Socialists of America endorsement.

The DSA agenda for Los Angeles is not subtle about what a Raman administration would try to do.

The platform calls for using eminent domain to convert private housing into public ownership, imposing citywide rent control, and expropriating golf courses.

It does not stop at real estate.

The plan also calls for replacing armed patrol officers with unarmed social workers, shuttering Men's Central Jail, and opening taxpayer funded drug injection sites.

Los Angeles Police Protective League spokesman Tom Saggau did not mince words about the coalition backing Raman.

"They are wolves masquerading as sheep, skilled at misinformation and distraction," Saggau said.

That is the union representing 8,700 officers who patrol Raman's city talking about the woman who wants to run it.

Raman dropped her old defund the police language before the DSA endorsed her, hoping voters would forget the rest.

The manifesto her movement wrote never got the same makeover.

The Socialist Pattern Bass Refuses to Take Seriously

Raman is not an isolated case.

Zohran Mamdani delivered the DSA New York City's mayor's office within the last year, and Katie Wilson did the same in Seattle by a single point.

Every one of those races started the same way this one is starting, with an incumbent Democrat insisting the socialist candidate could never actually win.

Bass is running the identical playbook now, waving off an eleven point deficit as a fluke instead of the same warning signal Andrew Cuomo and Bruce Harrell ignored right up until election night.

Los Angeles homeowners do not have to guess what a Raman win looks like on their block, because the DSA already published the blueprint: eminent domain seizures, a shuttered jail, and cops pulled off the street.

Bass still has not recovered from the Palisades fire, and voters have not forgotten who was fielding calls from Ghana while their neighbors lost everything.

Six weeks remain before Angelenos decide whether Bass's failures finally cost her the job, or whether they hand America's second largest city to a socialist coalition that already wrote down exactly what it plans to take from them.
