Kamala Harris choice of Tim Walz as her running mate falls flat with swing state voters
Kamala Harris stunned the political world by picking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
Harris feared the pro-Hamas wing of the party would riot at the convention if she put Pennsylvania’s Jewish Governor Josh Shapiro on the ticket.
The New York Post interviewed voters in swing states and found the Walz pick did little to move the needle.
“I know he is the governor of Minnesota, but not much else,” one voter in Arizona told the Post.
“I briefly looked him up on Wikipedia but there wasn’t much. He seems pretty generic,” the voter added.
A second Arizonan said all he knew about Walz was that he let Black Lives Matter terrorists burn and loot the city of Minneapolis following George Floyd’s death.
“He let Black Lives Matter riots destroy Minneapolis,” the Arizona voter stated.
“I remember seeing Target being looted and there was hardly any police action,” the voter added.
Walz doesn’t sell in the Midwest
Voters in Wisconsin – which neighbors Minnesota – didn’t think much more of Walz.
“I’m not familiar with his track record,” one Wisconsin voter said in an interview with the Post. “He’s been less noteworthy to me than most blue state governors and Midwestern red-state governors.”
Another Badger State voter also brought Walz cheering on the Black Lives Matter terrorist attacks as forming his impression of Walz.
“He brings nothing but disastrous George Floyd riots, a state of only 10 electoral votes which has consistently voted for a Democratic candidate since Nixon, and more of the far-left views outside of the typical American beliefs,” the man declared.
“She could have chosen wide, but not much worse,” the man stated.
A Pennsylvania voter felt offended by Walz’s smear that Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance was weird.
The voter told the Post that Vance enlisted in the Marine Corps, got married, and had three kids.
He failed to see what was weird about that.
“I don’t know what’s weird about a man like JD, who married a great woman and had three wonderful kids. He served his country in the Marine Corps. There’s nothing weird about that. Walz’ idea of normal is men having babies, importing 12 million illegals and letting cities burn to the ground. That’s not normal,” the man explained.
Democrats hope that – at best – Walz is a do no harm pick.
The reports indicate that Harris’ internal polling found no potential Vice Presidential pick provided a boost in the battleground states.
Meanwhile, Josh Shapiro was seen as not someone who could deliver the state of Pennsylvania based on internal polling. The source also said Harris’ team was unconvinced that any one person could guaranteed any of the battleground states for the ticket.
