At the University of North Carolina (UNC), a pro-Hamas mob attempted to tear down the American flag and replace it with the Palestinian flag.
But a heroic group of fraternity brothers from Pi Kappa Phi (PIKE) defended the flag and made sure Old Glory continued to fly.

A GoFundMe campaign for these patriot fraternity brothers raised over $400,000 and John Rich offered to pitch in with his own special contribution.
Rich wrote on social media that he would throw the PIKE brothers a free concert for their “freedom party” and asked if anyone knew how to get in touch with them.
“For the boys who protected the American flag at UNC, I’d like to offer a free concert for their celebration of freedom party👍(anybody know how to find these young men?)” Rich wrote.
Rich revealed his effort to make contact was successful, and Rich proposed that popular podcast host Dan Bongino stage a live broadcast from the party.
“Maybe we could talk @dbongino into doing a live broadcast from their frat house? Cmon Dan, live a little🤣 @RedneckRiviera,” Rich added.
“I’ve made contact with the Patriots at UNC! Working on a date to have a massive event to celebrate our flag and those who love her. I’ll keep ya’ll posted! Let’s call it #Flagstock 🇺🇸 Can you make Flagstock trend? LESSGO!” Rich concluded.
One of the fraternity brothers reveals why he took action
One of the PIKE brothers, Guillermo Estrada, posted a thread on X explaining why he defended the Stars and Stripes from the anti-Semitic, America having liberals trying to replace it with the Palestinian flag.
“Today was a sad yet empowering day at Chapel Hill. When I walked to class, I saw the Palestinian flag raised on our quad flag pole, and was immediately upset at the act that these “protestors” had made. I cannot say I am fully educated on the Israel/Palestine conflict,” Estrada wrote.
Estrada said it infuriated him that his country’s flag was being replaced by that of a foreign nation.
To add insult to injury, the pro-terrorist liberals attacked police officers and the school chancellor who attempted to keep the American flag flying high.
Estrada wrote that “it upset me that my country’s flag was disrespected in order to advocate for another. Shortly after, Chancellor Roberts came with police officers to hang the flag once again. They were met with profanity, middle fingers, thrown bottles, rocks, and water.”
But a heartwarming scene took place.
Just like in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, when all the residents of Whoville began singing their Christmas song, every member of UNC’s Greek community burst out into a spontaneous performance of the national anthem.
“When the flag was raised once again, the Greek community began singing the National anthem. As the Chancellor left, the quad erupted into chaos as protestors began removing the flag once again, preparing to destroy it,” Estrada continued.
Estrada recounted how the mob began pelting him and fraternity brothers who defended the flag for more than an hour to make sure no leftists ripped it down again.
“My fraternity brother and others ran over to hold it up, in order for it not to touch the ground. People began throwing water bottles at us, rocks, sticks, calling us profane names. We stood for an hour defending the flag so many fight to protect,” Estrada added.
Estrada explained that he owes America everything and having grown up in a military community he understood the sacrifice that the flag represented.
“My parents started a new life in the United States, a country that has helped them flourish and raise two kids. I grew up in a Military community and saw first hand the sacrifices they make. I will not stand for the disrespect these “protestors,” Estrada concluded.
The left-wing protestors taking over college campuses don’t just disrespect Israel.
