The Nathan’s Fourth of July hot dog eating contest is an American tradition.
But fans got some bad news.
And Joey Chestnut got banned from the July Fourth hot dog eating contest for this insane reason.
Joey Chestnut can’t defend his title
Joey Chestnut became a sensation by defeating six-time defending champion Takeru “Tsunami” Kobayashi in the 2007 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Chestnut then won seven straight contests before losing in 2015 to Matt Stonie.
But then won eight consecutive hot dog eating contests from 2016 to 2023 where he broke his own world record for most hotdogs eaten four times including a high of 76 in 2021.
However, Chestnut revealed on social media that Nathan’s banned him from the 2024 contest after Chestnut signed an endorsement deal with the vegan meat company Impossible Meat, which creates plant based meats.
“I was gutted to learn from the media that after 19 years Im banned from the Nathan’s July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest. I love competing in that event, I love celebrating America with my fans all over this great country on the 4th and I have been training to defend my title,” Chestnut wrote.
“To set the record straight, I do not have a contract with MLE or Nathans and they are looking to change the rules from past years as it relates to other partners I can work with.This is apparently the basis on which I’m being banned, and it doesn’t impact the July 4th event,” Chestnut added.
“Sadly, this is the decision Nathan’s and Major League Eating are making, and it will deprive the great fans of the holiday’s usual joy and entertainment. To my fans, I love you and appreciate you. Rest assured that you’ll see me eat again soon!! STAY HUNGRY!” Chestnut concluded.
Controversy over plant-based meat
Globalists like Bill Vaccine – who promoted lockdowns and the COVID vaccine – want to force Americans to eventually only eat plant-based meat as part of the Green New Deal.
The point of the Green New Deal is to control your every life choice and liberals claim cow farts cause global warming and thus governments need to ban cheeseburgers.
In a 2021 interview with MIT Technology review, Gates claimed Americans should only eat plant meat burgers.
“I do think all rich countries should move to 100% synthetic beef. You can get used to the taste difference, and the claim is they’re going to make it taste even better over time. Eventually, that green premium is modest enough that you can sort of change the [behavior of] people or use regulation to totally shift the demand,” Gates stated.
Globalists like those at the World Economic Forum would also like to force Americans to eat bugs as part of the Green New Deal.
Corporations usually go woke and bow at the altar of liberals and the Green New Deal.
But Nathan’s appears to be taking a stand.
