Donald Trump and Republicans are sounding the alarm.
The problem is more serious than previously thought.
And Joe Biden has this scary plan to let illegal aliens vote in November.
Illegal aliens get voter registration forms
Republicans in Congress introduced the SAVE Act to ban noncitizens from voting in federal elections.
Democrats and the media claim it’s already illegal for noncitizens to cast a ballot and that this is a solution in search of a problem.
But as usual, Democrats and the media aren’t telling the truth.
Illegal aliens can register to vote in every state except Arizona.
And government agencies are handing out voter registration forms like candy to illegal aliens.
“Welfare offices and other agencies in 49 US states are providing voter registration forms to migrants without requiring proof of citizenship, leading Republicans and conservatives to call for swift federal action to stop the handouts,” The New York Post reports.
“Every state but Arizona — which recently passed a law barring the practice on state but not federal forms — gives applicants for either welfare benefits, driver’s licenses, or in some cases, mail-in ballots voter registration forms without demanding proof of citizenship,” The Post added.
The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 mandates Department of Motor Vehicles and offices that give out welfare benefits offer voter registration forms.
This loophole allows illegal aliens to register to vote.
Republicans slam lax election security practices
Republicans pointed to this bombshell report as a reason to increase the urgency in Congress to pass the SAVE Act and guarantee the integrity of the 2024 election.
“While Biden and radical progressive Democrats give ISIS and criminals an app to literally schedule their illegal entry, Republicans must fight any chance of illegal voter registration until we can mass deport,” a statement to The New York Post from Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) read.
“As President Biden has welcomed millions of illegal aliens through our borders, including sophisticated criminal syndicates and foreign adversaries, it is incumbent upon Congress to implement greater enforcement measures that secure the voter registration process and ensure only American citizens decide the outcome of American elections,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) added.
American First Legal sent a letter to all 50 states asking how officials planned to prevent illegal aliens from exploiting the gaps in existing federal law to cast a ballot in November.
The letter explained that “the NVRA forbids States to demand that an applicant submit additional information beyond that required by the Federal Form.”
Any vote cast by any illegal alien taints the election due to the fact it would cancel out a ballot cast by a U.S. citizen.
One illegal alien voting is one too many.
And contrary to claims by Democrats and the media, there are areas of election law where security must get beefed up.
The question is, as always, why do Democrats and the media constantly oppose common sense ideas like Voter ID or banning noncitizens from voting in federal elections?
