James Carville Just Told Trump Staffers to Commit Federal Crimes on Live Podcast

Jun 23, 2026

The Democratic Party is so desperate that James Carville went on his podcast and openly begged Trump White House staffers to break the law.

Now a blockbuster new book dropping tomorrow has the whole West Wing on edge – and Carville is using it to recruit traitors.

What he said on air will leave you speechless – and what it means for the left's next move is worse.

The Rant That Should Be Front Page News

Carville went on his Politics War Room podcast this week and dropped all pretense.

"Save Yourself! Save Yourself, now!" he screamed at Trump administration staffers.

"Leak, Leak, and more leaks."

He didn't stop there.

"Everything that you know, every stupid thing that he says, every grotesque, horrible, nasty habit he's got – leak it," Carville said.

He even predicted Trump would be "gone by April of next year" and called the president a "fat bastard" who "can't get out of a chair."

This isn't a fringe leftist blogger posting from his mom's basement.

This is Bill Clinton's former campaign manager – the man credited with putting a Democrat in the White House.

And he's openly encouraging federal employees to hand classified information to his allies in the media.

What Carville Is Actually Asking People to Do

Here's what the legal reality looks like for anyone dumb enough to take his advice.

Leaking classified national defense information is a federal crime under the Espionage Act.

Unauthorized removal of classified materials carries up to five years in prison under Title 18.

Disclosing Situation Room recordings – the specific breach White House officials are currently panicking about – would represent one of the most serious security violations in modern American history.

Axios reported last week that top Trump officials believe New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan obtained actual audio recordings of Situation Room meetings for their upcoming book Regime Change.

An unnamed administration source told Axios: "We're afraid some of our most sensitive conversations were being recorded. And we have no idea which ones."

So while the White House is dealing with a genuine national security crisis – unknown parties potentially recording classified strategy sessions – Carville is on a podcast cheering it on and begging for more.

The Left Has Been Running This Playbook for Years

This is not the first time Democrats have tried to weaponize the federal bureaucracy against a Republican president.

Back in 2017, Democrat Congressman Ted Lieu created an official government website – funded by taxpayers – instructing federal employees how to leak information to the media.

That operation produced Reality Winner, a hard-left Air Force veteran who handed top-secret NSA documents to the Intercept and got arrested within weeks.

Winner was sentenced to five years and three months in federal prison – the longest sentence ever handed down for leaking classified information to a media outlet.

Carville knows what happened to her.

He doesn't care.

His pitch to current staffers is simple: your career is over anyway, your reputation is ruined, so the least you can do on the way out is hand us ammunition.

"When the history is written, the leakers always do better," he told them.

"You're already covered in sh*t."

That's not a strategy.

That's a desperate man who has watched every prediction he's made about Trump fall apart, trying to manufacture the scandal that will finally stick.

Carville Just Confirmed Everything Conservatives Have Been Saying

Carville isn't a random talking head.

He is an architect of the modern Democratic Party and a close ally of the Clinton machine that has driven left-wing politics for three decades.

When he says the quiet part out loud – that the goal is to recruit insiders to destroy the administration from within – he's confirming exactly what conservatives have argued for years.

The media, the consultants, and the permanent Washington establishment do not accept election results.

They use the bureaucracy as a weapon.

They reward leakers and call it whistleblowing.

They destroy careers and call it accountability.

And when a 71-year-old Democratic strategist gets on a podcast and screams "Save Yourself!" at government employees, he's not giving career advice.

He's running a recruitment drive for a political insurgency dressed up as history lessons.

Any Trump staffer who listens to James Carville won't end up on the right side of history.

They'll end up with the same deal Reality Winner got.
