Farmfest Crowd Reacts To Klobuchar’s Wild Border Claim In a Way She Did Not See Coming

Democrats spent four years telling America the border was secure.

Amy Klobuchar tried her line about the border on farmers.

Klobuchar Tells Farmfest She Backed Order At The Border

Amy Klobuchar, now running for Minnesota governor, stood in front of a Farmfest crowd on August 6 and made her pitch.

"I've long believed and supported funding for order at the border," Klobuchar told the crowd.

"And I have worked well with law enforcement in Minnesota for years," she added.

She said it like it was settled history.

It was not.

The crowd laughed audibly before she finished the sentence.

Then came the boos.

Twitchy posted the video and did not need much commentary beyond it, calling her rebrand as a border hawk about as convincing as a late-night infomercial.

Her 2019 Border Comments Tell A Different Story

Farmers at that event were not laughing at nothing.

They were laughing at the gap between what Klobuchar said that day and what she has actually supported.

In 2019, Klobuchar said she was "happy to look at" a proposal to decriminalize illegal border crossings.

That is the same senator now claiming she has "long believed" in order at the border.

Under Trump, the numbers Klobuchar's party spent years denying became public anyway.

DHS confirmed 14 straight months of zero releases at the border under the current administration.

Pew Research found migrant encounters at the lowest level in more than fifty years.

CBP called it the most secure border in the country's history.

Klobuchar was not in that fight.

She was on the other side of it, and Minnesota farmers apparently remember.

Democrats Keep Making This Same Mistake

This is not the first time a Democrat has tried to sound tough on the border in front of a crowd that knows better.

It will not be the last.

The pattern is always identical: years of soft rhetoric on illegal immigration, followed by an election-season pivot to "order" and "security," delivered to an audience that watched the previous four years happen in real time.

Farmfest is not a hostile conservative rally.

It is Minnesota farmers, the kind of voters Klobuchar needs if she wants to be governor.

They laughed anyway.

Why This Moment Actually Matters

Here is what fires me up about this one.

Klobuchar did not get caught lying about some obscure vote.

She got caught lying about the single issue voters trust the least when Democrats talk about it.

A Minnesota Senate seat gave her cover for years.

A governor's race puts her in front of the exact voters who lived through the years she is now trying to talk her way around.

Farmers do not forget a candidate who was open to decriminalizing border crossings in 2019 and is now billing herself as the order-and-security choice.

The laughter at Farmfest was not random.

It was that seven-year gap landing on her all at once, in front of a live microphone, with nowhere for her to hide.

That is the story Minnesota voters will remember in November, not the line she rehearsed.
