Elon Musk’s efforts to cut waste and fraud at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has turned him into a top villain of the Left.
But Elon Musk is not backing down.
And Elon Musk made one promise about DOGE cuts and Social Security that Democrats wanted to keep hidden.
Americans have been blown away by the amount of waste, fraud, and abuse uncovered by Elon Musk and DOGE.
Under Donald Trump’s orders, Elon Musk and the DOGE team have shuttered agencies, canceled billions of dollars in DEI grants and contracts, and sent thousands of federal employees into early retirement.
DOGE has already saved more than $140 billion in taxpayer dollars, or roughly $869.57 saved per taxpayer.
Last week, Elon Musk and members of the DOGE team appeared for an interview with Bret Baier on Fox News Channel to update the public on their findings.
Musk said his goal of finding $1 trillion to cut is “quite achievable,” as his team is averaging “$4 billion a day, every day, seven days a week” in spending cuts.
“This is a revolution, and I think it might be the biggest revolution in government since the original revolution,” Musk said.
The Social Security Administration is one of the departments where Musk and the DOGE team are finding piles and piles of waste, fraud, and abuse.
Musk recently revealed that 40% of calls to Social Security phone centers are fraudulent and that 15 million “living” people over the age of 120 were on the rolls.
At an event this weekend in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Musk revealed that millions of illegal aliens were recently added to the Social Security benefits program.
According to Musk, 2.1 million “non-citizens” received a social security number last year alone.
DOGE found 1.3 million of these illegal aliens were already on Medicaid.
Of course, Democrats and the left-wing media are attacking and smearing Musk and the DOGE team for taking an axe to big government.
They’re trying to strike fear throughout senior citizens by claiming Musk is planning to cut their monthly benefits.
But this is a lie.
On multiple occasions, Elon Musk made it clear that DOGE had no plans to cut Medicaid or Social Security benefits.
In fact, Musk said the exact opposite would happen as a result of DOGE’s efforts.
“What we’re doing will help their benefits,” he told Bret Baier. “Legitimate people, as a result of the work of DOGE, will receive more Social Security, not less.”
At the event on Saturday in Wisconsin, Musk once again shot down the media lie that he was coming for the American people’s social security benefits.
“I want to state this as crisply and clearly as possible, that DOGE will absolutely ensure that people get their social security, make sure they get their social security, make sure they get their medicaid, and will not be cutting any legitimate payments whatsoever,” Musk said. “Crystal clear.”

Donald Trump created DOGE as a vehicle to audit the federal bureaucracy and make government more efficient.
Musk set a goal of finding $1 trillion in waste, fraud, and abuse to cut.
And Democrats have turned him into a villain for it.
