Donald Trump stunned NBC viewers into silence with this surprising confession about running for a third term

Democrats spent the past several years smearing Donald Trump as a dangerous would-be dictator.

They’re terrified that Donald Trump will somehow remain President for the rest of his life.

And Donald Trump stunned NBC viewers into silence with this surprising confession about running for a third term.

Democrats and the corporate-controlled media frequently get themselves worked up over actions that they falsely claim Donald Trump is preparing to take.

Even before he lost the election to Joe Biden in 2020, Democrats were panicking over their false claim that Donald Trump would refuse to give up power on Inauguration Day.

“President Donald Trump on Wednesday would not commit to providing a peaceful transition of power after Election Day, lending further fuel to concerns he may not relinquish his office should he lose in November,” CNN reported in September of 2020. “Trump has previously refused to say whether he would accept the election results, echoing his sentiments from 2016.”

Of course, Trump left office on January 20, 2021 when Joe Biden became the 46th President.

Democrats and the media have also been accusing Donald Trump and preparing to serve more than two terms since his first time in the White House.

And now the Left is working itself into a panic over the idea of Donald Trump refusing to leave office at the end of this term.

But instead of letting them get under his skin, Donald Trump dishes it back out to the Fake News Media.

During a phone interview with NBC News on Sunday, Donald Trump addressed the idea of serving a third term in the Oval Office.

“A lot of people want me to do it,” Trump said. “But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration.”

“It is far too early to think about it,” he added.

Trump admitted that he believes “there are methods which you could do it.”

However, Trump told NBC News that he was “not joking” about making a bid for a third term.

“I like working,” he said.

This is not the first time Trump trolled the media about a third term.

At a GOP retreat in January, Trump asked, “Am I allowed to run again?”

Ratified in 1951, the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution prevents individuals from serving more than two terms as President.

Serving two terms had been a tradition since George Washington gave up power after two terms, but it was made law after President FDR served four terms in the Oval Office.

“FDR is the only president in the nation’s history who has been elected and served more than two terms, which was largely due to the political and economic climate at home and abroad, with his presidency unfolding amid the Great Depression and the beginning of World War II,” Fox News reported.

Democrats and the left-wing media spent the past few years accusing Donald Trump of being a dictator who wanted to stay in office forever.

And Donald Trump continues to make them panic by entertaining the idea of a third term.
