Liberal comedian Bill Maher is no fan of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.
But Maher is also not a fan of the Democrats’ woke identity politics.
And Bill Maher just stunned Chris Cuomo with this revelation about having dinner with Donald Trump.
Host of HBO’s Real Time and popular comedian Bill Maher is one of the few left-wing personalities in the entertainment industry who doesn’t parrot the Democrat Party narrative.
Of course, Maher is one of the few real “liberals” left in the Democrat Party.
As a comedian, he’s a fierce defender of free speech rights.
Maher has not been shy about voicing his disgust with the Democrat Party’s support for cancel culture and gender identity politics.
But even though he attacks Democrats for being too woke, Maher has remained a fierce critic of Donald Trump.
However, that could soon change thanks to rock star Kid Rock.
News recently broke that Kid Rock convinced Maher to agree to have dinner with Donald Trump at the White House, but no other details were available at the time.
During a recent appearance on former CNN host Chris Cuomo’s podcast, Maher discussed his upcoming dinner with President Trump.
“It was presented as maybe this is a beginning to heal America,” Maher told Cuomo. “Now, I don’t have some sort of complex where I think I can heal America, I can’t, okay, let’s get that clear — I’m not going to be healing America,” he continued. “But if two guys who’ve been at each other for so long — I mean, it’s kind of a Nixon-to-China thing.”
Maher admitted that he is “impressed” by it and is excited to visit the White House.
“I’m impressed the f*** out of it, I get to go to the White House,” Maher said. “And yes, that is the structure of this dinner — it’s just, ‘let’s talk, let’s talk to each other face to face, let’s stop shouting from 3,000 miles away.’”
Cuomo responded by offering his full support for Maher and Trump having dinner at the White House and talking things out.
“I love that you’re going,” Cuomo said. “I think it’s great for exactly the reasons you said.”

Unlike the majority on the Left, Maher is not afraid to admit when he agrees with Donald Trump.
Maher supported Trump’s decision to ban men from competing in women’s sports and with his executive order ending birthright citizenship.
But Maher admitted that he’s been attacked by the Left just for agreeing to have dinner with Trump at the White House.
“I’ve already had a couple of people who I said to them, you know, I’m just gonna take it as a backhanded compliment that you glide right past the idea that little Bill Maher from River Vale, New Jersey, just a humble kid from the suburbs, was invited for a private dinner at the White House,” he said. “You glide right past that to how dare you talk to him and that you’re not impressed by it at all.”
Bill Maher still has a long way to go, but dinner at the White House could be what finally drives him away from the Democrat Party and into the Trump GOP.
