A top scientist revealed the shocking reason why we’ve never made contact with alien life

Are we alone in the universe?

Humans have been asking themselves that question for ages.

And now a top scientist revealed the shocking reason why we’ve never made contact with alien life.

Scientist provides grizzly explanation for why alien life has yet to appear on earth

The government has released videos showing that UFOs exist.

The only question is are they man-made or extraterrestrial.

Dr. Frederick Walter taught a course on extraterrestrial life at Stony Brook University in New York state.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Dr. Walter laid out his best scientific case about why humans never made contact with alien beings.

And it’s that these civilizations may simply be extinct.

Dr. Walter theorized that gamma-ray bursts (GBRs) are the most powerful explosions in the universe and that these GBRs wiped out alien civilizations in other galaxies.

“A typical burst delivers a bright beam of directed energy: one quintillion (a 1 followed by 19 zeros) times the brightness of our own sun, more than enough, in other words, to burn an extraterrestrial civilization clean off its perch in the galaxy,” the Daily Mail reported.

“It’s a tightly focused beam,” Dr. Walter told DailyMail.com. “And, if it’s directed through the plane of the galaxy, it could basically sterilize about 10 percent of the planets in the galaxy.”

But this is just a best guess by Dr. Walter, and there could be other explanations.

“It’s just one of many possible explanations,” he noted, adding, “sort of morbid, I suppose.”

Do GBRs threaten earth?

Based on Dr. Walter’s calculations, a GBR occurs every 100 million years, meaning earth’s experienced about 45 of them.

“It’s estimated that there is a gamma-ray burst every 100 million years or so, in any galaxy,” Dr. Walter stated.

But these don’t appear to pose a threat to earth; however humanity would have no ability to ready itself for one scorching earth.

“They’re rare, and they’re directed,” Dr. Walter continued.  “And, it’s not something you can prepare for.”

Other reasons why aliens may not have made contact with human life

Dr. Walter listed some other reasons alien civilizations haven’t made their presence felt on earth.

One theory is that aliens may be advanced forms of life like whales or dolphins and live underwater.

“If you live underwater,” Dr. Walter said, “you’re not going to play around with electricity.”

Alien civilizations may also believe it’s just not worth it to travel great distances across galaxies when they have their own problems to deal with.

“It may not be worth it to travel between the stars and look for other aliens,” Dr. Walter hypothesized.

The final reason given by Dr. Walter was that any advanced alien civilizations may have killed each other off in wars of conquest or through their own disastrous decision making.

“Just look around, you know?,” Dr. Walter offered. “We’re polluting the atmosphere. We’re making it questionable as to whether we’re going to have a viable civilization in a century, unless we do something drastic.”

“If civilizations tend to evolve in the same way that they have on our planet, then that’s going to hit everybody,” Dr. Walter warned, adding that “our technology exceeds our wisdom, perhaps.”
