A top ally delivered Kamala Harris this awful reality check

Aug 22, 2024

The media wants the American people to buy the notion that Kamala Harris is cruising towards a landslide win over Donald Trump.

But Harris got some bad news.

And a top ally delivered Kamala Harris this awful reality check.

Internal Kamala Harris polling numbers don’t match the private data

The media can barely contain their glee as public polls show Kamala with a healthy lead over Donald Trump.

The New York Times and Siena published swing state surveys showing Kamala with enough Electoral College votes to secure the Presidency.

But campaigns and their allied groups spend big money to have more accurate polling numbers than what media companies can produce.

And the leader of the biggest pro-Kamala Harris Super PAC said the press and Democrats are getting way ahead of themselves in starting to measure the drapes in the Kamala Harris White House.

Chauncey McLean is the head of the Future Forward Super PAC.

Future Forward will spend hundreds of millions of dollars to elect Kamala Harris.

And in an event at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics, McLean admitted Donald Trump was still the favorite in the election, saying the group’s internal polling numbers painted a far different picture than the numbers from public polls.

“Our numbers are much less rosy than what you’re seeing in the public,” McLean stated.

“We have it tight as a tick, and pretty much across the board,” McLean added.

MacLean is speaking about the best and most exhaustive set of data in the Democrat Party.

Reuters reported that “Future Forward has created a massive polling operation that created and tested some 500 digital and television ads for Biden and some 200 for Harris. They have talked to some 375,000 Americans in the weeks after Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee on July 22.”

McLean also said that Harris must win one of three states – Pennsylvania, Georgia, or North Carolina – to win the election.

The latest poll out of Pennsylvania shows Trump with a narrow lead.

Other Democrats issue words of caution

CNN’s David Axelrod has long been a voice of restraint since Democrats made the switch to Kamala Harris.

Axelrod said there was “irrational exuberance” sweeping over the Democrat Party about Kamala’s chances of defeating Donald Trump.

And on the first night of the Democrat Convention, Axelrod – who also clearly sees the Kamala campaign and outside groups’ internal polling – said if the election were held today, Donald Trump would win.
