Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stumbled in one venture after another following quitting the Royal Family.
Spotify refused to renew their podcast deal, Harry is persona non grata in London, and Markle has struggled with a Hollywood comeback.
Now, it has become very conspicuous that Harry and Meghan haven’t made a public appearance together in months.
The only time the two have appeared on camera together of late was in a Veteran’s Day video message.
Royal Family experts describe them going through a professional separation.
Markle even alluded to the controversy in a statement posted to the couple’s Archwell website after hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for Afghan women.
“This initiative has spent the past year building community through storytelling and creating a safe space for women who have resettled in the US from Afghanistan,” Markle’s statement read.
“The evening included a shared meal that encouraged open conversation centered on gratitude and resilience,” the statement continued.
Markle wrote that the dinner “expressed her deep appreciation to the attendees for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences.”
“The dinner was hosted at Our Place, founded by Shiza Shahid, where the participants were gifted with new cookware for the upcoming holiday season,” Markle continued.
A confusing narrative
Before the election, Trump even suggested his administration could deport Harry.
“No,” Trump said in response to a question from GB News presenter Nigel Farage about if Harry’s visa application deserved special treatment. “We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied, they’ll have to take appropriate action.”
Royal expert Angela Levin explained that Harry is struggling with his visa renewal due to admissions of past drug use and that Harry and Meghan are offering conflicting stories about this reported “professional separation.”
“He’s got trouble with his visa,” Levin said in an interview with GB News. “They’re allowed to look again at what the problem is, and he might still not be able to stay there. Maybe that’s why they’re buying somewhere else.”
“They say they’re going to work separately, then they say they’re buying a house in Portugal — you don’t do that if you don’t want to separate for most of the time, so I wonder if it’s in a very bad state. But I’m sure they’re trying to work out something,” Levin stated, adding that Harry “doesn’t know where he is at the moment” in terms of what course of action to pursue.
