The media was in full meltdown mode after the debate between J.D. Vance and Tim Walz.
Liberals in the media were shocked at what they saw.
A co-host on The View stunned ABC viewers with this surprising reaction to the Vice-Presidential debate.
J.D. Vance wins begrudging praise from the liberal media
Right from the first question, it was clear Tim Walz was no match for J.D. Vance.
A clearly nervous Walz stuttered and stammered through a bizarre answer about the Iranian missile attack on Israel.
Vance displayed a warm, conciliatory, and informed presentation that caused voters to re-evaluate the lies the press slimed Vance with about how he was “weird.”
Walz then proceeded to bumble his way through the debate, calling himself a “knucklehead” and declaring that he was “friends with school shooters.”
Instant reaction polls showed J.D. Vance was the first Republican Vice-Presidential candidate in the 21st century to have more than 50 percent of debate watchers declare him the winner.
Even the media had to give Vance his flowers.
That included fake conservative, The View co-host and CNN contributor Alyssa Farah Griffin.
Even though Griffin worked in the Trump administration and for the House Freedom Caucus, she made sure to let viewers know she renounced all her past beliefs before crediting Vance with a polished and effective performance.
Griffin also claimed that Donald Trump would get so annoyed by the media praising Vance’s turn on the debate stage that Trump would ultimately accept Kamala Harris’ demand for a second debate.
“I was struck by the fact that J.D. Vance is a significantly more eloquent Donald Trump. Watching that — I don’t agree with J.D. Vance on quite a bit, but he speaks to MAGA in a way that he comes off as an incredibly effective communicator. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised that Donald Trump doesn’t want to debate again because J.D. Vance did so well he will want the kind of closing argument,” Griffin stated.
J.D. Vance keeps driving the liberal media crazy
But Griffin knows her audience on CNN.
And the people who tune in to CNN don’t want to hear all positive coverage of Republicans.
Griffin made sure to temper her praise for Vance by sticking to the media’s previous script about how Vance was an online troll who attacked women for not having kids.
“J.D. Vance is a chameleon. There’s multiple sides to him. It’s one of his greatest political strengths. He showed up with a command of facts. There were some untrue things that he said. But he seemed — he tried to show the side of empathy with him, that I found myself believing it. And then I remember his lies about Haitian kids, his comments about childless cat ladies, and his general record online is a mean spirited internet troll,” Griffin added.
A Vice-Presidential nominee has two tasks.
Deliver a solid convention speech and ace the debate.
Vance checked both of those boxes, which forced Griffin to admit that no matter what happens in the 2024 election, J.D. Vance is a rising star in the Republican Party.
“So long and short, I don’t know that this moves the needle but I do think it solidifies his place as the MAGA heir apparent after Trump.”
