Tim Walz signed one law that just let illegal aliens register to vote

Republicans are mad as hell.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has a lot of explaining to do.

And Tim Walz signed one law that just let illegal aliens register to vote.

Republicans demand answers about non-citizens registering to voteĀ

Election integrity counsel for the Republican National Committee Kevin Cline and Minnesota Republican Party Chairman David Hann fired off a letter to Tim Walz about the ability of noncitizens registering to vote in Minnesota.

In 2023 Walz signed two laws that allowed non-citizens to end up on voter rolls.

The first bill allowed illegal aliens to obtain a driverā€™s license.

The second bill mandated automatic voter registration through the Driver and Vehicle Services Division (DVS).

Minnesota Department of Public Safety Commissioner Bob JacobsonĀ wrote back claiming that the DVS takes multiple steps to prevent illegal aliens documents get to the Secretary of Stateā€™s office.

An insufficient response

Cline and Hann werenā€™t happy with this response.

In a second letter, the pair demanded answers for how non-citizens slipped through the cracks and ended up on the voter rolls.

“While we appreciate your explanation of how the Driver and Vehicle Services Division (“DVS”) is supposed to function to ensure each applicant is a U.S. citizen, your response failed to explain how noncitizens made it through that process and ultimately made it onto Minnesotaā€™s voter rolls,” Cline and Hann wrote.

“This is no hypothetical; lawfully present noncitizens were registered to vote through your department, and Minnesota voters deserve transparency from your department to understand how this failure occurred and how it is being addressed,ā€ the two added.

Hann and Cline wrote that the fact that Walz signed an automatic voter registration and non-citizens ended up on the voter rolls gave the impression that Walz approved automatic voter registration to facilitate non-citizens registering to vote.

“This issue is especially concerning since the chain of events leading to implementation of Minnesotaā€™s AVR system, put in place by Governor and Vice-Presidential Candidate Tim Walz, gives the impression it was put in place to facilitate registration of noncitizens,” Hann and Cline added. “Minnesotaā€™s voter registration system is clearly vulnerable to illegal voter registrations in its current form.”Ā

Cline and Hann panned the review Jacobson assured them was going to prevent non-citizens from being able to potentially vote as an exercise in covering their read end.

“This type of review should have been completed multiple times on a consistent schedule since AVRā€™s implementation,” Hann and Cline declared. “That your department is only now beginning the review process suggests it is being done because our previous letter exposed the flaws in the AVR system and highlighted noncitizens on the rolls.”

A Democrat narrative destroyedĀ

House Conservatives are demanding that any bill to fund the government before the September 30 deadline include the SAVE Act.

The SAVE Act is common sense legislation that requires proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections.

Democrats and the media claim it’s already illegal for illegal noncitizens to vote.

But the loophole is automatic voter registration laws in blue states which allow illegal aliens to find their way onto voter rolls.

At that point, illegal aliens can potentially vote in federal elections and cancel out the ballot of a lawful voter.

Republicans argue there is no legitimate reason to oppose requiring proof of citizenship to vote other than Democrats wanting to leave a backdoor open for illegal aliens to add their name to the voter rolls.
