Megyn Kelly bodychecked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with this brutal truth

Megyn Kelly wasn’t impressed at all with what she saw at the Democratic National Convention.

Kelly had one specific target in mind.

And Megyn Kelly bodychecked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with this brutal truth.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s odd convention speech

Democrats gave Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a primetime speaking slot.

The point of the primetime program is to showcase your party’s most appealing figures who can make the case for the nominee in the most broadly appealing manner possible.

Ocasio-Cortez – like many of the speakers – thought shouting their way through their remarks would persuade on the fence voters.

To make matters worse, Ocasio-Cortez hypocritically committed cultural appropriation – a damning charge often deployed by leftists – against southern preachers and black church culture with the fake accent she used.

“And I for one, am tired of hearing about how a two-bit union buster thinks of himself as more of a patriot than the woman who fights every single day to lift working people up from under the boots of greed trampling on our way of life,” Ocasio-Cortez shouted.

Megyn Kelly mocks Ocasio-Cortez

Megyn Kelly was dumbfounded by the bipartisan praise she saw for Ocasio-Cortez’s speech.

“When I saw people on the internet praising her last night, even some Republicans, like, ‘Oh, that was a great speech,’ I thought, have you ever actually seen an effective female public speaker? Like, they mistake energy or like enthusiasm for effectiveness,” Kelly began.

Kelly told listeners to her podcast she felt assaulted listening to Ocasio-Cortez berate her.

“I mean, anyone can get up there and shout at you! [Shouting] She can shout at you! It doesn’t make you a good public speaker. It was like an assault. Right? Don’t you feel assaulted by what I just did? That’s how I felt listening to her,” Kelly added.

Kelly said Ocasio-Cortez – like all Democrats – aims to emulate Barack Obama’s speech at the 2004 convention.

That speech is said to be what launched Obama into the stratosphere and set him on the course for the Presidency.

Kelly said Ocasio-Cortez turned in a laughably bad impersonation of Obama.

“That’s what AOC was going for. That’s what they all go for. They fail. There’s only one Barack Obama, there will never be another Barack Obama. I’m sorry, find your own style. You’re not good at imitation,” Kelly added.

Kelly compared Ocasio-Cortez to a cross between Hilaria Baldwin – Alec Baldwin’s wife who turned out to be just pretending to be Spanish – and Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.

“She was a cross between Hilaria, who went to a fancy boarding school in either Boston or Rhode Island, and isn’t Spanish at all, and also this guy,” Kelly stated.

“You may remember him from World War II as the leader of Italy,” Kelly concluded.

The American people agreed with Kelly.

Nominees are supposed to get a bounce out of their convention.

But pollster Scott Rasmussen posted on X that his daily polling showed Ocasio-Cortez’s speech was a major turnoff and that Kamala Harris gained nothing.
