Controversial Minnesota Governor Tim Walz isn’t making a good first impression as Kamala Harris’ running mate.
Walz’s stolen valor scandal and radical Left view were just the starting point for a critical examination of his record and background.
But then the set of CNN exploded over this claim about Tim Walz’s sexuality.
J.D. Vance mocking Tim Walz as weird offends CNN
Never Trumper and former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum set off pyrotechnics on the set of Kasie Hunt’s CNN show with a claim about J.D. Vance and Tim Walz’s sexual history.
It all began with liberal host Dana Bash discussing her interview with J.D. Vance, where Vance turned Walz’s attack on him and Trump for being “weird” around and mocked Walz as a weirdo for shaking his wife’s hand after delivering his speech upon Kamala Harris naming him as her running mate.
Bash claimed Walz got into the insult game because Democrats wanted to see their candidates fight Trump on his terms.
“Democrats for so long have brought a knife to a gun fight when it comes to the rhetoric of Donald Trump, and they’re trying to be more in that space,” Bash stated.
Frum then chimed on and things got – well – weird when Frum tried to psychoanalyze Vance.
“A lot of what he says is going to be incomprehensible to you unless you participate in or have some acquaintance with this strange underworld that he comes from,” Frum began.
Frum then argued that Vance was trying to call Walz a “sexual deviant” because he wouldn’t kiss his wife.
“I’m gonna say this — it’s not nice, it’s not true. What he’s trying to suggest is that Tim Walz is a sexual deviant of some kind,” Frum added.
Frum’s fellow co-panelists couldn’t believe what they were hearing.
CNN panel goes off the rails
Republican strategist Matt Gorman wasn’t going to let Frum get away with making such an insane claim.
“What are you talking about? That’s ridiculous, David,” Gorman stated before adding. “No. That’s ridiculous!”
Frum claimed Vance’s mockery of Walz for shaking his wife’s hand owed to a August 6 post on X by Donald Trump Jr. ridiculed Walz’s conduct towards his wife as “weird.”
“Totally normal to greet your wife with a firm handshake and a bro hug/back slap. Tim Walz isn’t weird at all, guys,” Trump Jr. wrote.
Frum claimed that elites totally bought into the “weird” attack on J.D. Vance because his Yale Law School and best-selling author pedigree meant liberals like Frum thought Vance was one of their own.
When Vance turned into a Trump supporter, they lost their minds and began smearing him as “weird.”
“That’s why people think he’s weird. He’s so brilliant, he’s so capable. So, why is he so filled with rage and contempt for others?” Frum concluded.

But liberals don’t like heir own attacks getting turned around on them.
And Vance, using the term “weird” to mock Tim Walz, sent David Frum off the deep end.
