Scandal plagued running mate Tim Walz is turning into a national embarrassment for Democrats.
Now Walz’s vortex of scandal is sucking in other Democrats.
And what Nancy Pelosi said to Tim Walz just came back to haunt her.
New Tim Walz stolen valor video involves Nancy Pelosi
Back in 2007 Nancy Pelosi was the newly crowned Speaker of the House.
Democrats won control of the House of Representatives that year because then Congressman Rahm Emmanuel spearheaded a candidate recruitment strategy that involved running people like Tim Walz – gun owning military veterans who projected a moderate image but would vote like socialists once got to Congress.
At an event that year Pelosi thanked Walz for his nonexistent combat service – at that point Walz repeatedly falsely claimed to be an Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran and also referred to Walz by the rank of Command Sergeant Major, a rank Walz also falsely claimed he retired with.
“We’ll hear from Congressman — Command Sergeant Major — Tim Walz,” Pelosi began.
Pelosi then applauded Walz for service on the battlefield that Walz claimed but which never existed.
“And I was so moved by what Tim has said. He said he has taught these young people in high school, and then he had to lead them in the armed services. So he has, he knows, the potential of our young people and what we put at risk when we send them into harm’s way without the equipment that they need. He will speak for himself, but I want him to know how much we all appreciate his service to our country, whether it’s in the classroom or on the battlefield,” Pelosi concluded.

Troops who Walz served with previously spoke out about this scandal
Walz’s lies about his military record only became a big deal because Donald Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance slammed Walz for “stolen valor garbage.”
But when Walz ran for Governor of Minnesota in 2018, troops Walz served with in the Minnesota National Guard tried to call attention to the fact that Walz’s military career wasn’t what Walz claimed it to be.
Retired Army Command Master Sergeants Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr wrote a letter to the Minneapolis Star Tribune in 2018 slamming Walz for ‘quitting’ on them by retiring from the guard weeks before their scheduled deployment to Iraq.
They also explained how Walz quitting on his troops when he did caused him to be defrocked when he retired and that he did not earn the right to be called a Command Sergeant Major.
“The bottom line in all of this is gut wrenching and sad to explain. When the nation called, he quit. He failed to complete the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. He failed to serve for two years following completion of the academy, which he dropped out of. He failed to serve two years after the conditional promotion to Command Sergeant Major,” Behrends and Herr stated.
“He failed to fulfill the full six years of the enlistment he signed on September 18th, 2001. He failed his country. He failed his state. He failed the Minnesota Army National Guard, the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion, and his fellow Soldiers. And he failed to lead by example. Shameful,” Herr and Behrends added.
This is the supposed battlefield service Pelosi thanked Walz for completing.
Pelosi referred to Walz’s rank incorrectly.
Pelosi incorrectly described Walz’s service record.
And Tim Walz never corrected Pelosi on either front because he wanted to revel in the unearned glory.
