Anthony Fauci stood in the Oval Office in April 2020 and declared one medicine the new standard of care for hospitalized COVID patients.
On September 28, survivors and widows of the hospital wards that followed his playbook packed a Senate room.
One Texas woman told Ron Johnson the exact words her ICU doctor said the moment he learned her vaccine status.
Ron Johnson Opened the Kennedy Caucus Room to the Patients Hospitals Wrote Off
Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin convened the roundtable, titled "COVID-19 Hospital Protocols: Real Stories from Real People," in the Kennedy Caucus Room of the Russell Senate Office Building.
Gail Seiler of Plano, Texas, went back to 2021 and her stay in a Texas ICU.
"When the hospitalist in the ICU learned that I was unvaccinated, he looked directly at me and said, 'I'm so sorry, Mrs. Seiler, but you're going to die,'" she testified.
"Once they discovered my vaccination status my options became limited to remdesivir and a ventilator," she said.
She asked for ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, budesonide, zinc and vitamin C, and every request was turned down.
She said she went 12 days without food and seven without water, and the hospital labeled her a DNR.
Her husband Brad – a former ER nurse and Army captain – fought to get her out with help from Colonel Allen West and Texas state Senator Bob Hall.
Once she was home, Brad, their daughter and Dr. Richard Bartlett treated her with the drugs the hospital had refused.
"Doctors insisted that my lungs were permanently damaged and I would not survive outside their care," Seiler said.
"They were wrong."
Two Words on a Voicemail From an Oklahoma City ICU
Peggy Hokett's husband never made it home.
Raymond Hokett first showed up at an Oklahoma City ER on August 25, 2021, and was admitted three days later for what was supposed to be a short stay.
Peggy testified that his records showed remdesivir, laxatives and stool softeners, and high-dose narcotics, and that he was sedated and put on a ventilator without either of them consenting.

One staffer gave her the hospital's verdict: "Your husband's going to die. He's unvaccinated. What did you expect?"
On August 30, Raymond called his wife and left a voicemail.
"My husband was physically and chemically restrained, and the last words I ever heard from him was, 'Need help,'" she said.
When she was finally allowed in on September 17, she barely recognized him – bloated, with fluid pooling on the floor beneath him.
He died on September 21, 2021, with Peggy at his bedside.
Washington Paid Hospitals More for Every COVID Admission
Follow the money and the hospitals weren't losing any.
The CARES Act gave hospitals a 20 percent Medicare bump for every COVID patient.
Ventilator cases paid best of all – a Kaiser Family Foundation analysis cited by Fox News found a hospital could collect up to $40,218 for a patient on a ventilator more than 96 hours.
Meanwhile, the cheap early treatments desperate families begged for got treated like contraband.
New York attorney Ralph Lorigo took 212 families from 40 states to court to force hospitals to give their loved ones ivermectin.
He won 72 of those cases, and all but three of those patients lived.
He lost 140, and every one of those patients died.
"We need a national right to try act that includes off-purpose drugs," Lorigo told the panel.
Former trauma surgeon Dr. James Miller said that when he "spoke against the fraud," he "was targeted for removal through baseless disciplinary actions" – including a threat of arrest.
Grace Schara Died in Appleton Under the Same Protocols
Johnson's home state already knows how these cases end in court.
Nineteen-year-old Grace Schara, who had Down syndrome, died at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton in October 2021.
Her family says a do-not-resuscitate order went on her file without their authorization, followed by a mix of Precedex, lorazepam and morphine.
In June 2025, a jury cleared the hospital after two hours of deliberation.

583 Families Came Forward and Fauci Holds a Pardon
Johnson said his office has collected 583 testimonies from 46 states.
"The fact that these attitudes were widespread is indisputable," he said.
A handful of bad nurses on a bad night doesn't produce 583 stories in 46 states.
A system does.
And the man at the top of that system is holding a preemptive pardon Joe Biden signed on his way out the door in January 2025, reaching all the way back to 2014.
Johnson has warned that career holdovers inside HHS are "sabotaging" Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s push for radical transparency, even after he and Rand Paul got a copy of Fauci's government phone with more than 34,000 texts on it.
Biden's pardon covered Fauci.
It didn't cover the administrators who cashed the COVID bonus checks, the doctors who stamped DNR on patients like Gail Seiler, or the bureaucrats still sitting on records Kennedy wants out.
Raymond Hokett got a two-word voicemail to his wife and a death certificate.
Somebody owes Peggy Hokett an answer, and 583 families are done waiting politely for it.
