A cameraman approached Amy Acton at a campaign stop in Harrison, Ohio.

He asked her one question.

"Dr. Amy Acton, why do you refuse to debate your opponent, Vivek Ramaswamy?"

Her handlers didn't let her answer.

Staffers moved between the camera and the candidate, repeating the same line over and over.

"No photos, no videos."

"I said — no pictures, no interviews."

The footage shows staff bumping into the cameraman hard enough to jostle his equipment while he was still filming.

Nobody arrested a candidate for governor and asked her about a debate.

The people paid to protect her turned a routine question into a shoving match.

A Second Viral Moment in One Week Raises New Questions

This wasn't the first strange scene Acton's campaign produced this month.

On Labor Day, Acton tried to lead a crowd in a chant attacking Ramaswamy and the crowd just stood there.

Sweaty, screaming, and getting no response, she looked and sounded like Howard Dean in the final seconds of his 2004 campaign.

Dean's scream after the Iowa caucuses became the moment that ended his run for president, replayed on every network for weeks.

Acton's chant didn't need cable news to go viral this time.

Voters filmed it themselves and posted it before her campaign could spin it.

Ramaswamy hasn't had to manufacture a single attack ad off any of this.

Acton's own campaign keeps handing him the footage.

Breitbart reported on September 2 that Acton had already refused Ramaswamy's invitations to debate, a fact her campaign has never actually disputed.

She won't stand next to him on a stage and she won't let a cameraman ask her why.

Canfield Fair Attack Story Already Fell Apart on Video

Only a week before the Harrison shove, Acton's campaign was pushing a very different story.

On September 6, a man named Patrick Havas walked into a tent where Acton was speaking and called out her name.

Security moved fast, some attendees got knocked over, and Havas was arrested on misdemeanor charges.

Initial accounts framed it in language close to an assassination attempt.

Then video actually surfaced.

The clip showed nothing close to the drama Acton's allies had described, prompting comparisons online to Jussie Smollett's discredited 2019 hoax.

Governor Mike DeWine, the RINO who appointed Acton as Ohio's health director during COVID, still defended the original characterization, calling claims of exaggeration "a bunch of garbage."

Ohio voters watched the tape and made up their own minds anyway.

Howard Dean's scream cost him the Democratic nomination because it happened once, on camera, with no way to explain it away.

She's running a campaign built on hiding from the record voters already know, and Ohio just got another video proving it.
