Leaked Texts Just Exposed Exactly What Fetterman Thinks of His Disabled Veterans

Three disabled veterans traveled to Washington for a meeting Senator John Fetterman had agreed to take.

Fetterman's staff canceled on them at the last minute, telling the veterans their senator had fallen ill.

Fetterman was not sick at all – he had somewhere else he badly wanted to be.

The Hospital Fetterman Accused of Just Wanting Free Trips to DC

Less than an hour after his staff turned away three disabled vets, Fetterman turned up for a Fox News interview about Israel and the Iran war looking perfectly healthy.

That is not a one-off, according to leaked texts and interviews reported by the Wall Street Journal.

When Children's Hospital of Philadelphia asked to meet about looming Medicaid cuts, Fetterman balked.

He told an aide he was not concerned about the cuts.

"I'm convinced they just want free trips to DC," Fetterman said.

The Fallen Officers' Funeral Fetterman Called a Nonstarter

A funeral for three slain Pennsylvania police officers barely got a reaction.

When Fetterman learned the service would run three hours and required a dress code, he had one response.

"3 hours??" he wrote back, according to the report, calling the funeral a "nonstarter."

He skipped it.

Israel got the time those officers, those veterans, and those sick children could not.

Fetterman has made multiple trips to promote Israel's cause and appeared on Fox News repeatedly to defend the country's war in Gaza and Iran.

He has said publicly he would only leave the Democratic Party if it ever became "the anti-Israel party."

Pennsylvania was not offered the same loyalty test.

Fetterman's Party Is Now Calling Him a Disgrace

This is not a new story for Pennsylvania's senator.

The Philadelphia Inquirer, his hometown paper, told Fetterman back in 2025 to "serve Pennsylvanians, or step away."

He ignored it, and the new Wall Street Journal report just showed why.

Now his own party is turning on him in public.

Pennsylvania Rep. Brendan Boyle called him "a disgrace," adding that "our state deserves better than a lazy trust fund baby."

Rep. Chris Deluzio pointed to Fetterman's "laziness, disrespect, and willingness to carry water for a foreign government."

DNC Vice Chair Malcolm Kenyatta said the report was "horrifying, but not new to many of us in PA."

Former Rep. Conor Lamb went furthest of all.

He told Fetterman to resign if he has "any decency left."

Fetterman was already furious with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer over being denied a seat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the one panel built for a senator who cares this much about foreign policy.

Back in March 2025, Fetterman told aides he did not care that Schumer's staff had arranged a special call for Senate Democrats.

He skips the party's calls. He skips Pennsylvania's veterans. He never skips Fox.

Fetterman's Staff Hid a Foreign Government's Talking Points From Him

Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter met with Fetterman last September and suggested he write an op-ed defending Israel.

Fetterman agreed on the spot and told Leiter to send him the talking points.

Leiter's office sent it over within days.

Fetterman's staff buried the draft and never told him it arrived.

They were not worried he'd get the politics wrong.

They were worried he'd get himself investigated.

A sitting United States senator nearly published a foreign government's script as his personal opinion, and the only thing that stopped him was a staffer with better legal instincts than he had.

Pennsylvania did not send John Fetterman to Washington to be a foreign government's most reliable cable-news surrogate.

They sent him to fight for kids losing Medicaid coverage, not to audition for Fox hits off a script written in Jerusalem.

His colleagues already said the quiet part out loud.

Now the voters have put a number on it.

A Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Times and Siena University poll found 42 percent of Democratic voters view Fetterman "very unfavorably," more than the 26 percent who only lean that way.

Republicans think more of him than his fellow Democrats do, with 35 percent viewing him "very favorably" and another 44 percent "somewhat favorably."

Turns out canceling on paralyzed veterans to make a Fox hit on time is not a great way to keep the respect of the people you work for.
