Gavin Newsom Confirmed California Is Paying for Sex Changes and Breast Implants for Homeless Illegal Aliens

Gavin Newsom just spent $9 billion of your money giving free “healthcare" to illegal aliens in California.

Now his own office confirmed part of that bill includes breast implants and sex change surgeries for homeless illegal immigrants in San Francisco.

And the man waiting for his taxpayer-funded castration told investigators exactly how the system works.

San Francisco's Homeless Shelters Are Running an Open Door Operation for Illegal Aliens

Christopher Rufo of the Manhattan Institute and journalist Jonathan Choe followed a whistleblower tip last month to several publicly funded homeless shelters in San Francisco. What they found should make every American's blood boil.

At St. Vincent de Paul's MSC-South facility – San Francisco's largest homeless shelter, operating under a $66 million city contract – a shelter employee confirmed illegal aliens from El Salvador, Venezuela, Honduras, and "a little bit of everywhere" were living there.

When investigators asked about federal immigration authorities, the employee was blunt. Management held a meeting and told staff: "We ain't letting them in."

That's a $66 million taxpayer-funded facility actively blocking ICE.

Among the residents: a group of Honduran men who identified as transgender women. Two of them – "Lyca" and "Alondra" – sat down with investigators and confirmed the city was providing them shelter, food, and healthcare.

Lyca said it plainly: "Tengo Medi-Cal."

He is an illegal immigrant receiving cross-sex hormone therapy paid for by California taxpayers – and bore the physical signs of having already undergone it.

Alondra, a muscular man in a camouflage shirt, said he entered the country by claiming asylum. The city offered to cover first and last month's rent on a private apartment. He turned it down because he couldn't afford ongoing costs after the subsidy ran out.

Newsom's Office Said the Quiet Part Out Loud

At a second shelter – the Embarcadero SAFE Navigation Center – investigators found "Jacqueline," a transgender-identifying man from Mexico with state-funded breast implants already in place. He told them the program extends to illegal aliens.

"Even though you're undocumented," Jacqueline said, "you can get them."

When asked whether he had also received "bottom surgery" – a procedure involving castration and surgical reconstruction – Jacqueline said he was waiting for that one. All of it covered by Medi-Cal. All of it paid by you.

Newsom's office didn't deny it. A spokesperson confirmed that illegal immigrants receive the same Medi-Cal coverage as low-income Californians, including sex reassignment hormone therapy and procedures. Their statement: "If you want to call California woke for not letting politicians interfere with doctors – or not wanting people to die in the streets – then go ahead."

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung had a different description, calling it "the holy trinity of woke, liberal, out-of-touch, perverse ideology from Scumbag Gavin Newsom."

The Pipeline Is Now Established

Rufo and Choe also visited the Taimon Booton Navigation Center – a third government-funded shelter specifically focused on transgender-identifying homeless people. Outside the facility, they found another group of male-to-female transgender illegal aliens seeking taxpayer-funded medical treatment.

Word has traveled. According to City Journal's reporting, transgender communities in Mexico, Honduras, and elsewhere now know that reaching California means the government pays for shelter, hormones, and surgeries – no questions asked. That's not speculation. That's what people living inside these shelters told investigators on camera.

Newsom expanded Medi-Cal to all illegal immigrants regardless of age in January 2024 – the final phase of an eight-year push that started with children in 2016 and expanded by age group every few years. The state originally projected the full program would cost $3 billion a year. California officials now say the actual bill is running $9.5 billion annually.

That gap is not an accident. It's what happens when you build a magnet and act surprised when people show up to use it.

Californians who think their homeless tax dollars are helping veterans and struggling families need to understand what Gavin Newsom actually built. He built a system where illegal aliens cross the border, claim asylum, check into a taxpayer-funded shelter that refuses to cooperate with ICE, enroll in Medi-Cal, and queue up for surgical procedures American citizens routinely can't afford.
