Sean Hannity had something he needed to get off his chest.
Hannity picked the perfect time to fire back.
And Sean Hannity had one head-turning response to this sex scandal.
Sean Hannity slams media coverage of Pete Hegseth
Sean Hannity was outraged.
The left-wing media and Senate RINOs colluded in a smear campaign to bring down Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s nominee to serve as Secretary of Defense.
Hegseth is a decorated combat veteran who shares Donald Trump’s goal of purging woke ideology from the U.S. military.
The plot to destroy Hegseth’s chances at winning confirmation centered on a 2017 sexual assault allegation a woman made against Hegseth at a GOP organization event out in California.
In the police report, the woman claimed Hegseth sexually assaulted her in his hotel room after a night of drinking.
Police investigated the matter, and the district attorney refused to press charges after determining the allegations were baseless.
Hegseth appeared on Sean Hannity’s show to keep up his public fight.
Hannity was outraged at the media coverage, which treated allegations as fact and ignored all the evidence supporting Hegseth.
“The media mob doing what they predictably do,” Hannity stated.
Hannity called the encounter between Hegseth and the woman consensual.
“You had a consensual relationship. It was investigated. You were fully exonerated. And correct me if I’m wrong here, wasn’t there videotape evidence that was largely responsible for exonerating you?” Hannity asked Hegseth.
Hegseth cleared
“I mean, in addition to personal witnesses and all of that, it was fully investigated at the time years ago,” Hegseth agreed and noted that the subsequent police investigation vindicated him.
Security camera footage showed the woman smiling as she and Hegseth walked back to his hotel room.
The footage also reportedly showed that she wasn’t acting drunk.
And the police report showed the woman asked Hegseth if he had a condom before they had sex.
Hegseth told Hannity that law enforcement cleared him of this matter.
But Hegseth added that he was looking forward to the forthcoming FBI investigation because it would provide the Senators evaluating his confirmation a written report debunking all the allegations against him.
New Yorker reporter Jane Mayer – a journalist with a history of hit pieces against Republicans – published a story based on 10 anonymous former Fox News colleagues claiming Hegseth showed up to work hungover.
“I was completely cleared. And that’s why, Sean, you know what I look forward to? I’m looking forward to the FBI background check. I look forward to the actual, under-oath conversations with Senators as we go through the process because, again, this is what the Left does, Sean. It’s the anatomy of a smear,” Hegseth added.
“And then they try to try you in the media before you can even get into the doors with Senators,” Hegseth concluded.
The media and Senate RINOs like Iowa’s Joni Ernst think they get to pick Donald Trump’s cabinet.
Pete Hegseth’s confirmation battle is a test to see if that is actually the case.
