Actor Robert De Niro continues to descend into madness as his Trump Derangement Syndrome consumes him.

De Niro’s rant outside Trump’s trial costs him an award
De Niro’s unhinged rant at a press conference outside Donald Trump’s show trial, which was organized by the Biden campaign, came back to bite De Niro.
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced it would rescind an award it was set to present to the 80-year-old De Niro for – what was up to this point – a distinguished career.
“This event is proudly bipartisan, uniting those from across the political spectrum to celebrate the impactful work of local broadcasters and our partners,” a statement from the NAB announcing it was pulling De Niro’s award.
The group explained that it’s a bipartisan organization and that De Niro was now too closely identified with the Biden re-election campaign.
“While we strongly support the right of every American to exercise free speech and participate in civic engagement, it is clear that Mr. De Niro’s recent high-profile activities will create a distraction from the philanthropic work that we were hoping to recognize. To maintain the focus on service of the award winners, Mr. De Niro will no longer be attending the event,” the statement added.
De Niro issued a response in which he thanked the group for their work.
“I support the work of the NAB Leadership Foundation and would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for what the Foundation has done and will continue to do for the good of us all, and I wish them well for their continued good work,” De Niro’s statement read.
What the NAB wanted to avoid
The NAB likely wanted to avoid a repeat of the fiasco at the Gotham Awards.
De Niro was there to present the Gotham Historical Icon and Creator Tribute for the film Killers of the Flower Moon.
De Niro became incensed when he found out that Apple edited his political commentary out of his speech.
“They gave me the script, and I looked at the prompter, and I asked after, ‘What happened?’ And they assumed that I had spoken to Marty or somebody about it, but I hadn’t. They assumed that I would be OK with it, and maybe I’m still getting it wrong, and I wasn’t. Marty and I spoke about it the next day and he said, ‘Yeah, I had sent you a text and [Apple] asked if you could dial it down, respectfully,’” De Niro ranted.
De Niro then whipped out his phone and read the remarks he prepared, attacking Donald Trump.
“Lying has become just another tool in the charlatan’s arsenal,” De Niro raged. “The former president lied to us more than 30,000 times during his four years in office. And he’s keeping up the pace in his current campaign of retribution. But with all his lies, he can’t hide his soul. He attacks the weak, destroys the gifts of nature and shows disrespect, for example, by using ‘Pocahontas’ as a slur.”
The NAB didn’t want De Niro turning their event into an anti-Trump pep rally and decided that everyone would be better off if he didn’t attend.
