Ricky Gervais just roasted Hollywood know-it-alls in this must watch clip

Jun 18, 2024

It’s not a coincidence that Ricky Gervais is both one of the funniest comedians in the game today and one of the biggest targets of the cancel culture mob.

The reason behind both is the same – he’s one of the few comedians left who is willing to risk offending to be funny.

And now Gervais just roasted Hollywood know-it-alls in this must watch video clip.

Hollywood leftists believe they know better than you

Robert De Niro’s recent coordinated press conference with the Biden re-election campaign outside of the New York City witch hunt case against former President Donald Trump was far from the first time he or other Hollywood celebrities tried to tell Americans how to vote.

From has-beens like Bette Midler to future Hall of Fame athletes like LeBron James, to the biggest star in the world, Taylor Swift – for some reason, when egomaniacs become famous, they think people care about their political opinions.

And the vast majority of them urge their fans to support Democrat politicians and woke policies.

Mick Jagger even recently took some pot shots at Republican Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida at a Rolling Stones concert in the Sunshine State.

This celebrity know-it-all phenomenon running rampant among singers, actors, and athletes has given birth to phrases like “shut up and sing,” “shut up and act,” and “shut up and play.”

And superstar comedian Ricky Gervais couldn’t agree more with those phrases.

“As a celebrity, I know all about stuff . . . like science and politics”

Ricky Gervais isn’t afraid to deliver jokes that sting.

In fact, one could argue that is what makes up most of his act – for example, when he hosted the Golden Globe awards back in 2020.

And one of the biggest targets of his biting comedy is the Hollywood elite.

The star of the original The Office in the United Kingdom frequently mocks the self-important attitudes of today’s biggest celebrities.

Recently, Gervais used absurdity to illustrate absurdity in a social media video clip.

The 28-second video is in black and white and features Gervais in the bathtub – not unlike Dylan Mulvaney’s Bud Light commercial and various other political commentaries from celebrities like Madonna.

“Hi guys, Ricky G here, wellness and beauty influencer,” the clip begins. “As a celebrity, I know all about stuff — like science and politics. So, trust me when I tell you who to vote for. If you don’t vote the right way, it’s like a hate crime and it makes me sad and angry. And I’ll leave the country, and you don’t want that.”

The video ends with four seconds of silence and a cringe-worth state from Gervais.

If you have a half-a-minute to spare and are in the mood to laugh at the expense of elitist celebrities – this is the video for you!
