A New York Times-Siena College poll published in mid-October left jaws on the floor in newsrooms across then country when they revealed that 59 percent of voters view the media as a “major threat to democracy.”The media was outraged when President Trump declared the press was “truly the enemy of the people” in 2019, but it turns out nearly two-thirds of Americans share his view on the matter.
