An HHS whistleblower sat before Congress in 2023 and warned that Washington had become a middleman for child traffickers.
Nick Shirley went looking for the children she warned about and found a money trail instead.
What former Border Patrol agents saw written on those children's arms is the detail nobody can shake.
A 43 Minute Film Put a Price Tag On Biden's Border Surge
Shirley, the independent journalist behind a Minnesota daycare fraud video he says drew 100 million views on X, posted a 43-minute documentary overnight on November 2.
He did not soften the charge.
"Your tax dollars trafficked over 300,000 children across the United States," Shirley wrote on X.
He added that the NGOs handling them got rich in the process.
According to the contracts in his film, one nonprofit pulled in $895 million to handle migrant children, and several others collected more than $100 million apiece.
The film's chapters zero in on Southwest Key, Tucson's Casa Alitas, and VisionQuest, whose $115 million compound gets a dedicated segment.
Groups in places like Tucson rode that gravy train during the Biden surge.
Once Trump shut the border, their federal checks dried up.
Former Border Patrol agents told Shirley that kids showed up at the border with one identical address scrawled on their arms.
Flight attendants recalled children boarding flights in clusters of five to ten.
When Shirley pressed one NGO staffer on camera about where the kids ended up, the staffer turned and left without a word.
Utah Senator Mike Lee answered with two words on X: "Defund NGOs!" as quoted by The Gateway Pundit.
The Inspector General Already Confirmed the Paper Trail Went Cold
Shirley's film did not invent this crisis.
A 2024 report from the DHS Inspector General found that ICE handed more than 448,000 unaccompanied children to HHS between fiscal years 2019 and 2023.
More than 291,000 of them never received a notice to appear in immigration court.
Another 32,000 skipped their court dates, and ICE had no formal process to follow up on them.
"On your department's watch, tens of thousands of migrant children are now missing," Senator Marsha Blackburn wrote to DHS after the report dropped.
Inside HHS, the warnings were just as loud.
Whistleblower Tara Lee Rodas testified that the government "has become the middleman" in a child trafficking operation, Fox News reported in April 2023.
The Biden team kept the conveyor belt running anyway.
An internal HHS memo obtained by The Daily Wire shows the Biden administration approved roughly 99 percent of sponsor applications from October 2023 to September 2024.
When Trump's team took over, it found 65,000 potential sponsor fraud reports sitting unanswered.
One 15-year-old girl was handed to a man who claimed to be her brother without fingerprints or a DNA test.
He was not her brother, and authorities later found he had raped and impregnated her.
A 17-year-old boy was released to a woman claiming to be his stepsister on Venezuelan papers nobody could verify.
In October 2024, he turned up dead inside a car alongside a 30-year-old man.
Trump's Team Has Found 146,000 Children and Is Still Searching
The Trump administration did what Biden refused to do and went looking.
In June 2026, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced that federal agents had located more than 146,000 of the missing children.
Three fraudulent sponsors were indicted as part of the same announcement, according to Republican Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey.
Smith's office puts the number of children who could not be accounted for at the end of the Biden years at more than 300,000.
Subtract the 146,000 found, and well over 100,000 kids remain off the government's radar.
Shirley's credibility on this kind of story is earned.
In July, he pointed to a guilty plea from the operator of what he called Minnesota's largest government-funded daycare.
"Numbers don't lie, and convictions don't lie either," Shirley told Fox News in July.
And Shirley is not alone in exposing fraud, although he may be the only one you’re likely to hear much about from the establishment media.

Xavier Becerra Ran the Program That Lost Track of These Children
Every one of these failures ran through Biden's Health and Human Services Department, led by Xavier Becerra.
His department waved sponsors through while fraud tips piled up, and fake IDs were among the most common tricks in the file.
He later asked California voters to promote him to governor.
NGOs cashed checks the size of a small city's budget while the children in their pipeline dropped off the books.
Democrats who screamed about kids in cages went quiet when these children vanished into sponsor homes.
Every dollar these groups collected should be audited, every contract should be subpoenaed, and every sponsor who lied on a form should face a federal courtroom.
The missing children deserve answers before one more dime goes to the groups that lost them.
