Gavin Newsom's own son confessed to his parents about one man he thought was pretty cool.
Now Jennifer Siebel Newsom wants a California law to ban such thoughts.
She said so out loud at a public summit – and then she admitted exactly which ideas she wants tech companies to suppress.
Jennifer Siebel Newsom Revealed Her California Legislation Is About Boys and Gender Ideology
Late last month, Jennifer Siebel Newsom appeared at the Common Sense Summit on Kids and Families in San Francisco and announced she and her husband are working on legislation to force tech companies to be, in her words, "a force for good."
She framed it around Andrew Tate.
But she couldn't stop there.
She told the room that boys who go online are moving "to the right" – pulled toward what she called "alt-right socialization" that is "very, very dangerous."
Then came the tell.
The legislation, she admitted, is actually aimed at "limiting narratives around what it means to be a girl, what it means to be a boy."
That's not a bill about Andrew Tate.
That's a bill about conservatism.
She wants California law to define conservative beliefs about men and women as dangerous content – and hold tech companies legally accountable for letting boys encounter those ideas.
She called it "institutionalizing our values so that they carry on beyond our term."
Our term.
She said "our term" – because she has always understood herself to be co-governor of California, not just a governor's wife.
Democrats Ran This Same Playbook Before and You Know Exactly Where It Led
This is not new.
In 2008, Barack Obama told the country he opposed same-sex marriage.
Twelve years later, Democrats were hosting drag queen story hours at public libraries, introducing graphic sexual content into elementary school curricula, and performing irreversible surgeries on minors who couldn't legally buy a beer.
The slippery slope Democrats always promise isn't real turned out to be the only thing about them that was.
Jennifer Siebel Newsom is telling you exactly where this leads – because she already let it slip.
She's not alarmed that her son encountered Andrew Tate online.
She's alarmed that her son was "confused and asking all these questions."
That's the threat she wants California law to eliminate: boys who ask questions and end up with the wrong answers.
The same California that cannot keep its cities clean, cannot keep its power on during summer, and cannot stop fraudsters from looting $350 million from children's meal programs now wants to decide which ideas your son is allowed to find online.
What Jennifer Siebel Newsom Just Did to Gavin Newsom's 2028 Presidential Run
Gavin Newsom is not a stupid man.
He watched Tim Walz's wife destroy Walz's vice-presidential rollout in 2024 – and the Harris campaign was smart enough to keep her off camera after the first week.
Newsom has no such luck.
His wife has now produced two viral videos in four days.
The first showed her bragging about giving her boys dolls and rewriting children's books to swap male characters to female – what she called "deconstructing gender roles."
The second showed her announcing legislation to legally enforce those same values on every boy in California.
Every time she speaks, she hands Republicans a ready-made campaign ad about what a Newsom White House would actually look like – not the polished, centrist version Gavin performs for national audiences, but the version that runs California's household and wants to run yours.
Democrats lost the male vote in 2024 by historic margins.
Young men moved to Trump in numbers that stunned the party.
Jennifer Siebel Newsom's answer to that problem is legislation to make sure boys never encounter the ideas that drove them away from Democrats in the first place.
Picture the 2028 Democratic National Convention – Gavin Newsom accepting the nomination, Jennifer standing next to him onstage, smiling, already drafting the federal version of this bill in her head.
Republicans will make sure every voter in America sees that image.
