MegaChurch Democrat Running for Senate Trashes Wealth but the Details of His Own Bank Accounts Exposed His Hypocrisy

Oct 20, 2026

Adam Hamilton staked his Kansas Senate campaign on attacking billionaires and dark money.

Then his financial disclosure forms surfaced and changed the entire conversation overnight.

Hamilton's bank account just called out everything he has been telling Kansas voters.

The Senate Candidate Who Makes Twice What Senators Earn

Hamilton leads Church of the Resurrection, the largest United Methodist congregation in America.

His financial disclosure shows a net worth of up to twenty million dollars.

The church pays him a salary of 394,239 dollars a year.

A sitting U.S. senator earns 174,000 dollars.

Hamilton also collected 417,372 dollars in publishing royalties from the United Methodist Publishing House.

He owns a primary home in Stilwell, Kansas, valued at 1.4 million dollars.

He also owns a vacation home at the Lake of the Ozarks worth nearly a million dollars.

The median household in Kansas earns 75,514 dollars a year, according to Census figures Breitbart cited in its report on Hamilton's filing.

Hamilton's campaign website says voters "need to get their influence out of politics."

That line was written about billionaires.

His Church Sponsored a Drag Pride Festival While He Ran As a Populist

Hamilton's rise to the ballot wasn't quiet.

He won an eleven-way Democratic primary on August 4 to take on Republican Sen. Roger Marshall.

Marshall called him "a woke, big megachurch pastor" and said Kansans would find him "too woke for Kansas."

Marshall wasn't wrong.

Under Hamilton's leadership, Church of the Resurrection sponsored Kansas City's 2025 PrideFest, complete with a Drag Queen Story Time.

Hamilton personally donated to Kamala Harris's 2024 presidential campaign.

He also served on an Obama-era council that pushed to expand commutations and pardons for convicted criminals.

A pastor who bankrolls Pride festivals and Harris campaigns wants Kansas to believe he's the one standing up to the establishment.

Hamilton raised over 4.1 million dollars since February chasing that story, and the race is close enough that voters might buy it.

An Insider Advantage poll released October 15 had Marshall clinging to a one-point lead, 48 percent to 47 percent.

Trump is headed to a rally near Wichita to make sure that lead holds.

Marshall doesn't need a new attack ad against a man whose royalty checks come from decades of bestselling Christian living titles.

What Twenty Million Dollars Buys a Leftist Pseudo-Populist in Kansas

Kansas hasn't elected a Democrat to the Senate since the 1930s, and Hamilton is close enough to make Republicans nervous.

That's exactly why those numbers hit harder than anything Marshall's campaign could script.

This is the same playbook Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock ran before he got to Washington.

Warnock lives rent-free in a tax-exempt million-dollar home his church handed him, complete with a hundred-bottle wine fridge, while that same church evicted tenants over past-due rent as small as 28.55 dollars.

A minister ordained at Warnock's Ebenezer Baptist Church said Martin Luther King Jr. "would have never endorsed that in any way."

Democrats built a national brand on crusading against billionaires and corporate greed.

Their actual candidates keep showing up with the same houses, the same royalty checks, and the same six-figure salaries they claim to be running against.

Kansas voters don't need a press release to do this math.

They have Hamilton's signature attesting to every dollar.
