Kristi Noem Breaks Silence on Husband as a Former CIA Officer Just Explained Why Byron Noem Was a National Security Time Bomb

Apr 1, 2026

Kristi Noem thanked her husband for showing up to her congressional hearing – the one where Democrats demanded she deny an affair with Corey Lewandowski under oath.

That was March 4th.

This week, the Daily Mail published what Bryon Noem was apparently doing while his wife ran the Department of Homeland Security.

Bryon Noem Photos Created a Blackmail Risk for DHS

A former CIA officer just told the Daily Mail something every intelligence professional already knows.

"If a media organization can find this out," said Marc Polymeropoulos, "you can assume with a high degree of confidence that a hostile intelligence service knows this as well."

Jack Barsky – a former Soviet spy turned U.S. intelligence asset – put it more directly.

"It's astounding that somebody whose spouse is at that level has that kind of bad judgment," Barsky told the Daily Mail. "That's espionage 101."

The FBI has documented for years that Russia and China specifically target individuals connected to senior cabinet officials.

The playbook is older than the Cold War: find the secret, gain the leverage, apply the pressure.

A cabinet secretary whose spouse is hiding a double life from fetish models who apparently had his real phone number is not a hard target.

That is an open door.

The Bryon Noem Double Life the Daily Mail Exposed

The investigation identified Bryon Noem, 56, as the man in photographs posing in fake breasts and pink hotpants.

He gave the women his actual phone number – with a voicemail that identified his business.

Three women from a niche subculture centered on extreme surgical augmentation told the Daily Mail they had been in regular contact with him, with the outlet reviewing hundreds of messages across those conversations.

His face was fully visible in both photos.

Kristi Noem's representatives issued a statement to the New York Post within hours.

"Ms. Noem is devastated. The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at this time."

Bryon has not commented publicly.

The Hearing That Made This Worse

When Bryon sat behind his wife at the House Judiciary Committee on March 4th, Democrats were already trying to get Kristi on record about Corey Lewandowski.

She never said no.

She called it "tabloid garbage."

She called her critics socialist liberals who attack conservative women.

And then she thanked Bryon for being there before he left to catch a flight.

Trump fired her the next day.

Lewandowski – photographed going in and out of Noem's D.C. apartment and seated next to her at diplomatic meetings in Guyana – was quietly pushed out of DHS three weeks later.

Kristi Noem's tenure at DHS was defined by a $220 million no-bid advertising contract that featured herself, a reported extramarital affair with her top adviser, fatal immigration enforcement operations in Minneapolis, and a luxury private jet program that cost taxpayers over $300 million.

Trump saw enough and showed her the door.

Kristi Noem Fired and Her Husband Was a Known Security Risk

Here is what nobody has asked publicly yet.

If a hostile intelligence service had this information while Noem was running Homeland Security – and Polymeropoulos is telling you they almost certainly did – every briefing she sat in, every classified conversation she had, and every decision she made was potentially compromised.

American adversaries do not need to recruit a cabinet secretary directly.

They just need to find the person she trusts most and learn his secrets before she does.

Bryon's face was in those photos.

His real number was in their inboxes.

Someone in Beijing or Moscow had that file while Kristi Noem was signing off on border security operations.

Ask yourself why nobody in Washington is demanding answers.
