Franklin Graham Just Responded to How the Trump DOJ Corrected a Grave Injustice Against a Christian Father

Apr 26, 2026

Franklin Graham just broke his silence on what Trump's DOJ did to correct one of the ugliest abuses in ages.

Biden's FBI showed up before dawn at a Catholic father's home – guns drawn, battering ram in hand – because he protected his 12-year-old son outside a Planned Parenthood clinic.

What Trump's Justice Department just did to make it right is something Graham says every American who values life and free speech needed to see.

What Biden's FBI Actually Did to This Family

Mark Houck was praying outside a Philadelphia Planned Parenthood clinic in October 2021 when an abortion escort approached his 12-year-old son and began making crude, aggressive comments directly at the boy.

Houck stepped in and pushed the man away from his child.

Local authorities reviewed the incident and declined to press charges.

That should have been the end of it.

Instead, Merrick Garland's Justice Department opened a federal grand jury investigation – and nearly a year later, on September 23, 2022, sent approximately 20 armed agents in 15 vehicles to Houck's rural Pennsylvania home before sunrise.

His wife Ryan-Marie described what she saw when she opened the door: guns pointed at her husband, ballistic helmets, ballistic shields, a battering ram, agents crouching behind their vehicles with weapons drawn.

"They had about five guns pointed at my husband, myself, and basically at my kids," she said.

Houck had already offered through his attorneys to surrender peacefully if federal charges were brought.

The Biden DOJ rejected the offer and sent the agents anyway.

The Verdict Biden's Team Never Saw Coming

Houck faced up to 11 years in federal prison.

The Thomas More Society took his case, and in January 2023 – after less than an hour of deliberation – a federal jury in Philadelphia acquitted him on every count.

Graham wrote that the settlement was a win not just for the Houck family, but for every American who values free speech and the sanctity of life.

Shawn Carney, president of 40 Days for Life – the organization that backed Houck throughout his ordeal – put the outcome in terms every conservative needs to hear.

Given that 98% of DOJ-prosecuted cases end in conviction, Carney said this win represented something far larger than one family's vindication.

"This was a huge victory for all Americans who want our right to speak our minds peacefully, in a law-abiding way, without fear of our own government," he said.

The Prosecutors Have Been Named and Fired

The settlement did not arrive in a vacuum.

Earlier this month, Trump's Justice Department released an 882-page report – built from a review of over 700,000 internal records – concluding that the Biden administration deliberately weaponized the FACE Act against pro-life Americans.

The findings were damning: Biden's DOJ coordinated directly with Planned Parenthood, the National Abortion Federation, and the Feminist Majority Foundation to identify and build cases against pro-life activists.

Prosecutors withheld evidence from defense attorneys.

They attempted to screen religious believers off juries.

They sought average prison sentences of 26.8 months for pro-life defendants – more than double the 12.3 months they sought when pro-abortion activists faced charges.

In the Houck case specifically, the report confirmed that Biden prosecutors deliberately refused his offer to self-surrender – choosing the predawn raid as a warning to every other pro-life American watching.

Sanjay Patel – the Civil Rights Division prosecutor who ran Biden's national task force targeting pro-lifers – was among at least four prosecutors fired when the report dropped.

Trump’s acting Attorney General Todd Blanche was direct: "No Department should conduct selective prosecution based on beliefs. The weaponization that happened under the Biden Administration will not happen again."

Merrick Garland Used Your Tax Dollars to Terrorize a Father for Protecting His Son

Here is what actually happened, stripped of all the government language.

A man was praying outside an abortion clinic with his 12-year-old son.

An adult male harassed the child.

The father protected him.

Local authorities said: no crime here.

Biden attorney general Merrick Garland said: send agents before dawn, guns out, battering ram ready.

Biden's prosecutors built dossiers on pro-life activists by partnering with the abortion industry, worked to keep believers off juries, and pushed for sentences twice as long for pro-lifers as for activists firebombing pregnancy centers.

A jury of ordinary Americans heard the government's case against Mark Houck and threw it out in less than an hour.

Now Trump's Justice Department has confirmed what conservatives knew from day one – this was never about the law.

It was about making an example.

Mark Houck refused to be one.

And the American taxpayer is footing a $1 million-plus bill for Merrick Garland's political persecution.
