Donald Trump selected Karoline Leavitt as his White House Press Secretary for a reason.
He knew she couldn’t be bullied by the fake news media.
And Karoline Leavitt gave one AP reporter a brutal lesson about tariffs that he will never forget.
Donald Trump is working hard to clean up the economic mess left behind by Joe Biden.
Four years of wasteful spending combined with excessive red tape and regulations unleashed an economic plague on the United States.
“President Biden piled on nearly $2 trillion in new regulations over his four years in office, dramatically increasing costs for everyday working people and businesses — and left billions of dollars more in proposed rules still in the pipeline,” the White House wrote in a release. “Upon taking office, President Trump immediately blocked these proposed rules and has initiated an aggressive deregulatory agenda that requires substantial cuts in existing regulations for each new agency rule.”
Trump is also trying to bring manufacturing back to the United States in order to end the country’s dependency on China and other foreign nations.
10,000 manufacturing jobs were added during Trump’s first month in office.
One way Trump is hoping to usher in a golden age for America is through the use of tariffs.
President Trump restored a 25% tariff on steel imports and elevated the tariff to 25% on aluminum.
He added an additional 10% tariff on imports from China and implemented a reciprocal trade policy with other nations, which means the United States will charge the same tariff rate it’s charged.
Of course, Democrats and the left-wing media are in a fit of rage over the Trump tariffs.
They’re suddenly pretending to care about high prices, which they’re falsely blaming on Donald Trump.
During Tuesday’s White House Press Briefing, Karoline Leavitt sparred with the fake news media.
Associated Press journalist Josh Boak accused Trump of going back on his promise to cut taxes by implementing “tax hikes” in the form of tariffs.
“Not true,” Leavitt responded.
“He is actually not implementing tax hikes,” Leavitt said. “Tariffs are a tax hike on foreign countries that, again, have been ripping us off, and tariffs are a tax cut for the American people, and the president is a staunch advocate of tax cuts.”
She brought up his campaign promises of “no taxes on tips, no taxes on overtime, no taxes on Social Security benefits” and predicted it would happen “later this year.”
“I’m sorry, have you paid a tariff?” Boak rudely fired back.
“Because I have,” he continued. “They don’t get charged on foreign companies – they get charged on the importers.”
Leavitt slammed Boak for “insulting” her intelligence.
“And I think it’s insulting that you are trying to test my knowledge of economics and the decisions that this President has made,” she said. “I now regret giving a question to the Associated Press.”
.@PressSec nukes Fake News loser @joshboak — whose terminal case of TDS has shred any semblance of objectivity.

This is not the first dustup with the Associated Press.
Trump previously banned the outlet from the Oval Office and from Air Force One for refusing to use the name “Gulf of America” instead of “Gulf of Mexico.”
Donald Trump and his staff know there is no benefit in playing nice with the Fake News Media.
